Obituary
Thomas Jordan Clement, 79, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away peacefully June 26, 2024. He was born in Mesa, Arizona on December 7 th , 1944. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Kathy Ann, parents Thomas Woodfred and Hilda Clement, brother Daniel Clement and brother-in-law Darrell Jensen. He is survived by his daughter LaDonna Buchanan (Scott), son Thomas Lee (Ashley), seven grandsons, one great grandson and brothers Paul (Loraine) and David (Rita) and sisters Merlynn Barber (Albert) and Modena Jensen. Thomas proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded several medals, ribbons, and badges: the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, One Overseas Service Bar, M-14 Marksman Badge, M-16 Marksman Badge and M-60 Expert Badge. After returning home from the war he married the love of his life, Kathy Ann and began a career with General Motors in Mesa that lasted over 30 years. In retirement, he enjoyed teaching at Universal Technical Institute and visiting his many friends. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he and Kathy served as missionary teachers in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He will be missed by his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, July 8 th , 2024, at Bunker Family Garden Chapel 33 N. Centennial Way in Mesa. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 9 th , 2024, at Mountainview Funeral Home and Cemetery at 7900 E. Main St. in Mesa.
