LDS Funeral Services in Arizona
Honoring Your Loved One in Faith, with Care and Understanding
- Serving Arizona families since 1913
- More LDS families than any other provider in the state
- Working alongside your bishop and ward
- Available any time, day or night
When a loved one passes, you want to know the people caring for your family understand what matters most to you. Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation has served Arizona families since 1913, and we serve more LDS families than any other funeral provider in the state. For members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that experience means you can lean on us. We understand the traditions that matter to your family and will help see that they are honored.
Many people refer to the Church as “LDS” or “Mormon.” Out of respect for the Church’s preference, we use its full name, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and “Latter-day Saints” throughout this page. Whatever name you use, our commitment is the same: to care for your family with reverence and understanding.
We Understand Your Traditions
Latter-day Saint funeral services are built around faith, family, and the hope of the resurrection. Our team is familiar with the customs that make these services meaningful, from the timing and structure of the service to the role of the ward, the Relief Society, and the Elders Quorum in supporting the family. Whatever questions you have, we’re here to answer them, and you can count on us to already know the traditions that matter to your family.
Working Hand in Hand with Your Church Leaders
We work closely with local bishops, stake leaders, and ward members to make sure every custom is followed and every detail is coordinated. Whether your service will be held in a Church meetinghouse or in one of our chapels, we help with scheduling, logistics, and communication so your leaders can focus on ministering to your family.
Sacred Care of Temple Clothing
For endowed members, being dressed in temple clothing is a deeply sacred part of preparing a loved one for burial. We know it is customary for families to take part in this, and we welcome that. With your permission, ward members or leaders who have been specifically assigned may assist as well.
Our staff includes endowed members who are able to help with every step, and all of our team members are trained to handle this with reverence, privacy, and respect. However you choose to be involved, you will never be rushed, and we will gladly answer any questions about how we do this.
