Obituary

Sharon L Edwards, born October 24, 1937 passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona.

Sharon was born in Springfield, Illinois to Faye and Albert Jackson and moved to Arizona in 1976. Sharon’s warm smile and welcoming presence made her a friend to all that met her. Sharon was active in her faith and served as a church organist/pianist for many years. Sharon is preceded in death by her son John A Edwards, and survived by her brother Phil Jackson, children Beth Miller, Jeff Edwards and Kim Montana, and grandchildren John, Amira, Mariah, Madison, Morgan, Allie, Kate and Jack, and great granddaughter Kalah.

A service in celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Sunday, May 7th at 3:00pm at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church, 11735 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. There will be a reception held at the church immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to North Scottsdale United Methodist Church, www.nsumc.com , are suggested.

Sharon and I had been friends for many years, when we lived in Springfield and went to the Third Presbyterian Church singing in the choir. She had introduced me to her brother Phil in which we were married sometime later. She and I both worked at Ozark airlines where she had met her husband Ralph. We had a lot of good times working together. She is at peace and is now with her father, mother, and son. Our sympathies to the family.
