Rosemary J. Brown, 88, passed away peacefully on September 26 th, 2018 in Mesa, Arizona while surrounded by her family.

Rosemary was born June 6 th , 1930 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to Guy McKinley Harman and Celia Young Hardman. She was the older of two daughters. Rosemary is survived by her children Natalie Samora, Jennifer Flaherty, Ingrid Lieber, Tamara Nixon, Robert Brown III, Jonathan Brown, Roberta Ray, 24 Grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

In the early 1950’s Rosemary moved to Tempe, Arizona from West Virginia with her mother and sister. She helped her mother in the retail business to open clothing stores. Rosemary followed in her mother’s footsteps and pursued her own retail clothing businesses.

Rosemary became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in her mid-30’s. She met her husband Robert Brown during a church social function. They were married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Rosemary served stake missions, and served as a Temple guide at the Mesa, Arizona Temple visitor’s center for years with her husband. She was devoted to her family, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13 th at 10am, preceded by a visitation at 9am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, Adobe building, 2152 E. Adobe St. Mesa, Arizona.

Her heart was full of charity for the less fortunate I recall many times when strangers in need would be at our dinner table or staying in our home. She has inspired myself and many others to be better people. I witnessed my husband whom I’ve known over half my life cry for the first time at her funeral. She is deeply loved and will be missed immeasurably. We love you momma for time and all eternity…..

I didn’t know Rosemary, but my mom, Eveline Hilbert knew her well. I was told by my mom about Rosemarys kindness, she employed her and helped her through some hard times. From everything I’ve heard, Rosemary was a true disciple who showed Christ like love to others.

I was one of the persons that Rosemary helped along the way. She hired me to be a live in babysitter when my life was full of turmoil. When her regular nanny, Alice,returned she taught me how to work in her store. She spent many long hours talking and giving me wonderful council. She changed my life and I will always be grateful that I knew her. I want to express my deep condolences to her children. I remember Natalie, the twins Jennifer and Ingrid and Tammy. We lost touch and I didn’t know the children she had with Bob. What a wonderful and strong woman.
