Phillip “Curt” Stradling

Curt was my childhood best friend. The memories we had will stay in my heart forever. I am not able to attend the funeral as I live in Florida. I am praying for all his family. I am so sorry for your loss. He was an amazing man.

I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Curt in person, but for the last 5 years, it has been my pleasure to work with Curt at Schneider and Associates. I feel fortunate to have been able to receive his input and knowledge and at times he imparted wisdom during times of difficulty in my personal life. He was a gift and feel truly blessed to have known him. My prayers are with the entire Stradling family.

Curt always had a smile and a little twinkle in his eye. His kindnesses to so many will be long remembered! He holds a special place in my heart.

Curt- We’re all so deeply saddened. I know your spirit is with us at Schneider & Associates. You were not only a wonderful colleague but a great Friend to all of us. I’ve learned a lot from working with you over the years. We’ll never forget your smile and spirit. We’ll miss you dear friend. Rest In Peace

When I first met Curt almost thirteen years ago it was as a coworker. It did not take long to realize just how competent he was as a manager. His attention to detail, his expertise coupled with a gift for working with people were qualities that made him so effective in his professional life. The things that made Curt so valued and successful in his career were informed by who he was as a man, those he loved and loved him, his faith, by how he was raised along with the innate talents that our Lord granted him. Curt and I worked together in good times and challenging times. Whether it was raining or the sun was shining, Curt was the same person. He was supportive, creative, even tempered, steadfast and hard working. He could be very funny. He was self deprecating and honestly humble; he as a realist in terms of his limitations. I think his ability to self-critique was however rooted in a supreme confidence in himself and an inner knowledge that he cold accomplish any and all things he set his very impressive mind to. It is a rare combination to be both humble and confident at the same time. Curt became a close friend, but it was not because of his professional ability. Our professional association was only the conduit by which we came to know each other fully as individuals. Curt became a close friend because he is a good person. There are precious few truly good people on our planet today. Curt’s goodness showed up in a hundred ways; In the way he spoke of, loved and cared for his family. In the good he did for people without asking anything in return. In his personal support and council, and most importantly, in his fidelity to our Lord. Without that, nothing and no one can bear fruit. I am only a friend and coworker. I cannot fathom the degree of loss others who were blessed to spend lifetimes with Curt must feel. But for myself, there is a hole in the fabric of my life that will not be replaced. At the same time, I must not be selfish and ungrateful. Our Lord granted me many years in Curt’s company, and I am thankful for that time. This life is not reality. True reality is what God has prepared for us in the next life. The life that Curt is now living. So along with the grief and loss, there is joy for Curt that he is home.

Curt was truly larger than life in such a good way. He was kind and thoughtful and always the family member to go out of his way to speak with every and anyone around him. I’m going to miss Curt as we we’re the same age, close cousins, and worked together in our younger years at the ole Stradling Cabinet Shop. My deepest sympathies go out to my uncle Phil and aunt Dora, along with his brothers, dear family members, and children. You will never be forgotten, for all the memories you have left in each of our hearts. Til we meet again Curt!

So sorry to hear this. Please know Curt was a great man, after his father and mother before him. God bless you Curt.
