A Life Remembered
Obituary
Patricia Frances Vincent returned to the open arms of her beloved Savior on June 2, 2021. She was 67 years old.
Born to Walter and Louise Parzych in Clinton, Massachusetts on November 10, 1953, Pattie was the embodiment of light, love, and kindness from the very beginning. She grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts with her older sister Constance Bilodeau and younger brother Walter Parzych. She enjoyed reading, visiting the Boston Children’s Museum, and Old Sturbridge Village.
Pattie cultivated a lifelong passion for learning and had a profound influence as a teacher of hundreds of young children. She graduated from Holy Name Central Catholic High School in 1971, and went on to study Elementary Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earning her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in 1976. After graduating, she became a Registered Nurse in Worcester. Later on, Pattie returned to study Elementary Education, earning her Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona in 2002. She was a proud member of Delta Kappa Gamma, promoting professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. Pattie dedicated over 20 years of her life as a nurse and over 20 years of her life as an elementary school teacher, proving to be an angel to countless others. Pattie loved teaching kindergarten–it was her dream job. When she was a kid, she would set up dolls, pretending to be their teacher. She retired from Mesa Public Schools in 2019.
In her 20s, Pattie joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and a few years later in 1979 she met her sweetheart Jerry Vincent at a church activity on Cape Cod. They married on June 7, 1980 and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Washington D.C. Temple.
Pattie loved her family (her boys and her grandkids), visiting museums, jellybeans, attending plays and concerts, going to Delta Kappa Gamma conventions, teaching kindergarten, shopping at Kohl’s and Barnes & Noble, travelling to Paris, the color purple, and the beach was her happy place.
While there was so much that brought Pattie joy, Pattie loved being a mother. She put her heart and life into raising three stalwart sons: David, Christopher, and Ryan.
Pattie leaves her print on many and is survived by her husband Jerry, sons, David (wife Lindsay), Christopher (wife Whitney), Ryan, grandkids Ryker, Ledger, Mack, Hank, River, brother Walter, niece Melissa Bilodeau, nephew Eddie Bilodeau, and stepdaughters Donna Vincent-Smith and Wendi Nasser (husband Waleed). She is preceded in death by her mother, father, in-laws, sister, and stepson Michael.
We are so blessed to have known and loved Pattie.
