Oscar Miller Lewis Jr.

Oscar Miller Lewis Jr. “Sakias” passed on October 18, 2026 at Chandler Regional Medical Center, at the age of 78. He was born on December 17, 1948, in Sacaton, AZ to Oscar Lewis Sr. and Louisa Garcia. Oscar lived in Wetcamp, AZ., located in the Gila River Indian Community.

Oscar worked in the Agricultural field and enjoyed his time in the outdoors. He liked horses, his interest was in older trucks, and he was always busy outside his home.

Oscar is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda R. Lewis (Ahmsaty), his siblings, Carla Lewis and Orpha Justin. His children; Narin Lewis Sr., Loren James, Christal James, Lee Ann Lewis, Lisa Pedro, Audrey Evans, Marcus Williams-Lewis. Oscar also had many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Shirley Thomas, Donna Dixon, Claudette Harvey, Roland Lewis, Leland Lewis Sr., Gary Lewis, and Jamie Lewis. Also three children; Reginald James, Theophlis James, and Crystal Williams.
