About Olivia Cortes

Olivia Cortes, 72, peacefully passed away on March 19, 2025 while at home surrounded by many people who loved and cared for her deeply.

Olivia was very social and led an active life. She enjoyed activities such as camping, painting, taking day trips and had a passion for cooking. She also dedicated a great deal of time caring for others.

Olivia is survived by her two sons Robert and Nelson Fitzsimmons, grandchild Rhiannon Teague and great grandchild Rahne Teague.

Funeral services are Friday, March 28, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Mesa Cemetery 1212 N Center St., Mesa.

A celebration of life will be held at The Colonial Manor clubhouse beginning at 3pm. Come by to share stories and reminisce with friends and family. We will be providing soft drinks and delicious tacos from 3pm-5:30pm.

Dearest Nelson and family: the loss of your mother is felt at such a deep level, and it will take time to learn to live with the void. The loss of a matriarch sends ripples through the whole extended family. Hi Nelson and Robert, I hope that at this moment you are filled with peace and serenity, as her mother wishes, because she is already reunited with the rest of our family in a place where there’s not sadness or pain. Of course we are already missing her , because her qualities made her a very positive person, always full of enthusiasm ❤️. Please accept a big hug from me.
