Nelda May Rogers Moore

Nelda May Rogers Moore (95) was born on May 27, 1931 in Winslow, Arizona to George Walter Rogers and Malinda Porter. She was the 4th child of 7 children: Lawrence, Perlie, Orson, Raymond, Twila and Dale all of whom have preceded her in death.

Her father died when she was 8 years old, that made the rest of her childhood very hard. The family moved to Joseph City, Arizona . She started working at a very young age babysitting, cleaning houses, washing milk bottles at the dairy, etc. just to help the family financially.

She attended school in Joseph City until high school and then went to Holbrook High School. One year of high school she attended Mesa High in Mesa, Arizona. She graduated from Holbrook High School in 1949.

The next year Nelda married Charles Alson Moore Jr. on August 18, 1950 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were blessed with four children: Jeannine, Kennith, Linda and Gary.

She loved being a stay at home mom and being with her children. After the children were older she worked at Motorola for 13 years. After that she was devoted to her family which included 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by all of her children.
