Melanie Rene Schneider

Melanie Schneider (Lana), 60, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona.

She was born to Alfred and Rita Morales on March 31, 1964.

Melanie graduated from New Mexico State with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She moved to Oceanside, California, where she met her husband, Dean Schneider. The two got married on December 28, 1988.  Melanie and Dean resided in San Diego, California, where they had two sons, Solomon Richard, and Matthew Barron. They also lived in North Dakota and Minnesota. They made their final move to Arizona in 2017.

Melanie’s favorite activities were supporting her sons at their sporting events, taking care of their two dogs, Dallas and Shadow, and reading.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Dean, her son, Solomon (daughter-in-law, Amy, granddaughter, Lana), her son, Matthew, her mother, Rita Burke, her brother, Marvin Morales, her sisters, Melodie Cruz, Melissa Lopez (Roman), Rosella (Bibi) Sosa, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Melanie is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Morales, second oldest brother, Alfred (Steven) Morales.

 

The family will be having a private service in Mesa, Arizona on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
