Marianne Lovina Landrin (Hamilton) was born in 1934 to Claude Buchanan Hamilton and Bertha Alvina Rath. She was the oldest of 3 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, both of her siblings, her sister Claudia, brother Bucky and her daughter Kathleen. She is survived by her beloved husband Joe, 5 children, 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She met her eternal companion Joe at work in 1968 and married him that same year. She brought her 4 children (Carolyn, Dewey, Jim, and Allan) into their family. They had 2 more children together (Joey & Kathleen) in 1970 and 1971. Marianne was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her husband, kids, and grandkids unconditionally. She would outwork her husband and kids in the garden and on the farm most days. Her garden, flower bed, and raspberry patch were her pride and joy while living in Eagar Arizona. She lived life to the fullest and wore her old body out. She was a great inspiration to many of us and will be sorely missed.

Please accept my most heart felt condolences for the passing of one of this earth’s sweetest angels. It was my greatest honor to be among those that were always greeted by Marianne with a tender hug and kiss on the cheek. Even when strapped in a hospital bed, she demanded that I lean in for her to plant one on my cheek. I’ll treasure those kisses forever. She lived a life filled with loving service to her family and all others within her reach. The deep love she had for her family was the driving force in her life. Even when hospitalized, her biggest concern was not for herself, she wanted to know, “how recently have you checked in on Joe?”. Marianne never missed the opportunity to ask, “how are the babies?”. She would patiently listen as I shared the latest news of my little family, all while she was clearly about to burst in wanting to share word of the latest accomplishments of her many children and grandchildren. I am grateful for the legacy of love that Marianne has left with us all. I will dearly miss that enormous smile that touched our hearts! -J. Darren McLaws

Marianne & Joe have touched our hearts, ever since they moved into our ward many years ago! Then I found out that we have a mutual friend – one of my friends was a missionary that taught them the Gospel. Small world! Marianne always wanted a HUG from our son, Michael. Her love just radiates to everyone that she comes in contact with! It’s been wonderful to watch how Marianne & Joe love each other – such great examples for all of us. Marianne was a special person in my life. She quietly observed the trials and pain I experienced when I could not have children. She found a way to show me love. When I finally became a mom she always encouraged me and had positive words about my son and my parenting challenges. She had a ring side seat for my son’s mischief each week at church. She told me weekly that I was doing a good job when I felt woefully insecure and overmatched by motherhood. When I lost my mom and then my dad, her encouragement and love expended. I always felt loved and cared for when she was near. I love her so dearly and will treasure the memories of how she influenced my life, and how I felt about her and about myself when I was in her presence. Sending all my love and prayers to Joe and the entire family during this time of grief.

I am beyond sad to hear of Marianne’s passing. She was the smiling face that greeted me each Sunday, and I looked forward to seeing both Marianne and Joe. They had a tradition with Jerry to share a mincemeat/pecan pie, at Christmas time. Joe would make sure they continued that after Jerry died. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
