Margaret taught me so much! She was 91 when I met her, but that did not slow her down. Well, maybe a little bit, but she was a force to be dealt with and I adored her. She apologized once for being bossy, but I loved this about her. She spoke her mind and told you exactly what she thought. There was never any guessing what Margaret meant when she spoke. Always kind and so very wise. I will miss her very much.

One time, I said “I want to be you when I grow up.” Margaret looked at the floor and said “Well, you’re going to have to be yourself, because I’m taken.” She just had so many great words of advice.

My family met Margaret at the Mesa VFW when we moved to Arizona in 1981. She was a spectacular woman who had no problem speaking her mind. We all loved, liked, and respected her so much. May the good Lord bring comfort to her family and friends.

This too shall pass. I remember the kindness she would behave.

To the Wright family, I’m very sorry for your loss. I wanted to offer you some comfort that I’ve found in the Bible. In John 11:25 Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” May this promise that we can see our love ones who have fallen asleep in death again, bring you strength and hope. (Acts 24:15)
