Obituary

Marc W. Lemieux, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2020. He was born on October 7, 1932 in El Paso, Texas. He married the love of his life, Marlene, on March 30, 1953. He was sealed to her for eternity in the Mesa, Arizona temple on July 15, 1956.

He was a honest, kind, hard-working man with a great sense of humor. Marc owned Temcon Concrete Construction in Tempe, Arizona. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his cabin in Payson, Arizona. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Marlene, and their children Marc Jr. (Jeanette), Michael (Debbie), Duane (Joyce), Jere, Tere (Darla), and Marie McGhan (Curtis). He had 31 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.

Our dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Marc Sr. was one of the finest human beings I have had the privilege of working with during my construction career. He was such a pleasure to do business with. His honesty, integrity and desire to always do the right thing is something that I and many others valued. There are many, many people within the construction industry, but not many who are or were a true gentleman the likes of Marc Sr. My sincere condolences to the entire Lemieux family.

To Marlene and family – We are so saddened by the passing of this great, wonderful man! It was always a delight to be at our cabin in Payson when he was up there. We have priceless memories of he and Marlene playing cards with Franklin and Dixie Clontz out on the porch, him building play structures for his grandkids and working so hard to beautify the area around the cabin and maintain the roads properly, him popping over for a visit on his quad – he was the best! He had such a deep, abiding love for his family. And was such a wonderful friend and neighbor. He will be so greatly missed. We send our love your way and pray for your comfort.

Many years ago I was a freshman at Mayer High School. I was so very impressed with Marc as a principal and superintendent. Ultimately, I followed in his footsteps. and I served as a high school principal and a District Superintendent in Washington State. What a wonderful man. Please know his impact was significant.
