Louise “Weezie” Harris

Louise “Weezie” Harris passed from this life on the evening of April 19, 2023, at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Harris; by her parents, Vernon and Nellie Johnson; and by her siblings, Vernell Johnson, Laurel Rowe Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Marva Johnson, Beulah Johnson, Francis Lynn Johnson, and Clifford Eugene Johnson. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children Paula Williams (Morris), Ed Harris (Brenda), Cathy Fritz (Franko), and Lori Huffaker (Darin).

Mom was born in Chandler, AZ. She grew up during the Great Depression and met her future husband at the start of the Korean War. They were married and would live where the Air Force sent them – Arizona, Texas, Scotland, France, Washington, Iran, Florida, Mississippi, and New Mexico before coming back home to Arizona.

They spent their retirement years eating out and enjoying life. Mom was a talented artist, poet, and journal keeper. She will be remembered for her love of family, kindness, generosity, laughter, and amazing pies, cakes, bread, and fried chicken.

Everyone who knew her loved her, especially her 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends, we are all so grateful to have had her in our lives.
