Obituary
Lorna Pearl Fish Carpenter, age 95, passed on to see her husband, AJ, parents, Silas and Pearl Fish, siblings, Al, Margaret, Lalovi, Varena, Mel, and Waldo and grandson, Bennett on January 30, 2022, in Tempe, AZ. She is survived by her six children Jack (LeAnn), Bruce (Lise), Lee Ann (Jim), Brynn (Gordon), Jetaun (Peter), and Lisa (Ed). She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.
Lorna is the product of early Latter Day Saint Pioneers and remained an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints until her death. Her early years were spent growing up in Snowflake, AZ. After high school graduation she attended Arizona State Teacher’s College, which is now Arizona State University.
Lorna was a kind and devoted wife and mother. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Even though her children and grandchildren were scattered across the United States, she tried to attend as many weddings, baptisms, mission farewells, etc. as possible. Lorna was a great organizer and loved to organize family reunions.
A viewing will be held for her on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Val Vista 9th Ward, 1150 E. Guadalupe Rd, Gilbert, AZ at 10:00 AM.
