Obituary

Loretta Beers Smith 79, passed away March 20, 2021 in Mesa AZ, after several months of serious illness.

Loretta was born November 14, 1941 to Allan Leroy and Helen Beers in Inglewood California.

Loretta married Allen Smith in the Salt Lake City Temple September 1, 1961.

Together they raised 4 children Michael, Rodney, Cory and Karla.

Loretta loved the Lord and was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She cherished her family and was a true example of compassion and strength. Her faith was strong and she held steadfast to her beliefs through all the trials she endured.

Loretta is survived by her loving husband Allen, children Michael (Laura), Rodney, Cory (Sandy) and Karla Teeples (Darin), 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her siblings 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Alene.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 26th 2021 at 10:00 am.

Aunt Loretta always made me feel so special and loved. Some fond memories come from swimming in the pool during our visits. I wish I could be there to offer hugs and love. She was such a fighter over the last few months and will be incredibly missed. All my love.

What a beautiful service for a beautiful woman! Loretta truly is everything that was shared about her. She really did make people feel special and loved. A remarkable example to us all. I remember camping with you all sometime in the 70s and the little box trailer that was pulled behind the tent trailer full of nothing but Hostess treats. That was the Call family’s best camping trip ever! Gerda would never dream of indulging us with Hostess. I also remember when you moved back to Utah I cried a lot over that and was so emotional over losing my friends that it drove me to hold hands (in their individual coat pockets) with both Mike amd Rod, one on each side, during a Mtn View football game. I thought if I held on, they wouldn’t go. I was so happy when you moved back! I love this family and the beautiful memories and love I have been priveledged to share with you over the years. Wish I was there to share hugs all around.

I am so sorry I had no idea Loretta passed away and I live here in Mesa, AZ. I ran into her several times in Costco and other places. We both had classes together graduating from Bountiful, High school. Such a fun funny lady I adored. I cannot believe I missed her funeral.
