Obituary

Leland Darrell Thomson passed away October 21, 2025, from the effects of a stroke in July. He is survived by his wife, Lianne, and his children Lily (Schultz), Loren, Larry, Luke, Leonard, Lucy (Ward), Linda, Lydia (Barney), and Liberty (Polakoff). He is also survived by a sister, ElDora Anderson, and a brother, Harold Thomson.

The funeral will be November 1, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house at 940 E. Southern Avenue in Mesa at 10:00AM. There will be a viewing before at 9:00AM.

Dear Lianne and Family, Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Losing a husband and father is not easy. Brother Thomson was a wonderful and kind man who was blessed with a beautiful voice. I loved listening to him sing “Oh, My Father”. His presence is surely missed in our Ward and in our lives.
