Love and prayers

I am sorry to hear about the passing of such a good man. He was a pleasure to work with and always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. His name is still the first name we see on our database in the mornings! He will be missed by all of us! Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wonderful family, which he spoke of happily every day. We love you Kemp! Bill, Michael and all the AZCLC Family!

We are saddened by the loss of our brother in law and Uncle. We love you Kemp. Til we meet again.

I cant believe he is gone. What a choice man and a great friend. We became friends in 1973 between HS graduation and our missions. We left about the same time and saw each other in the LTM in Provo and exchanged letters while we were out. Then we were after our missions, sharing a bedroom with a bunk bed for two years over on South Dobson in Mesa. He was great for a roommate. One favorite memory is tooling around Mesa and Tempe in his maroon Bonneville convertible. We both worked over at Port-A-Stall in Mesa after our missions. Kemp started working there when he first got home and helped me get on. He was an installer and I worked in the shop. He came by one day to ask a big favor. It seemed he had contracted at a service auction to go on a date with two other guys and three girls, and then he had asked another girl out for the same night. He wanted me to do the service date for him. My journal says that his date was a disaster, as was my party, so we had a good laugh about our lack of a love life for that weekend. Kemp’s uncle was in the Stake Presidency so we were very visible for giving talks with High Councilors in the Mesa West Stake. Sacrament Meeting was always in the afternoon and some of the buildings only had swamp coolers rather than AC. It seems like we gave a lot of talks, and probably blessed a lot of people with a good snooze. We went to West Mesa, Chandler, and Casa Grande wards. They built the Mesa 5th Ward chapel over off Dobson Rd while we were living there so we got to help plant the trees.

I remember your warm spirit so well dear cousin. What a happy reunion with Nora, and Grandma Kempton and Uncle Lafe and Aunt Polly. Love, Christie Marie

I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. I hope you may find comfort at Revelation 21:4, “And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” We can look forward to the time when God will take away all reasons for distress and he even gives us a hope of a resurrection.
