It is with the deepest sadness and despair that we must announce the passing of our dear Kaley Renee Dostal. We tragically lost our Kaley on November 27, 2023. As the news of her passing spread, countless family, friends and coworkers reached out in sadness over her loss. Our Kaley was loved far more than she could’ve imagined.

Kaley was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October 26, 1992. She was cherished and loved from the moment she was born. Kaley graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor High School and then worked toward her Associate’s Degree at Mesa Community College. Kaley worked with the Mesa Police department as a “911 Operator” where she made numerous friends and helped many people in their times of need. In addition to her Mesa job, Kaley got certified as a massage therapist and displayed her entrepreneur talents in helping to build, advertise and run a successful business. Beyond her working career, Kaley had a very warm and close relationship with her siblings, Stephanie, Chelsea, Tyler and Kyle. Kaley always brought a beautiful smile and infectious giggle to any family event or gathering of friends.

In remembrance of our Kaley, her father Tom wrote the following;

“A few of Kaley’s unique qualities that we all loved was her personality, honesty, curiosity, and genuine smile. She was very personable and could make friends with anyone. Kaley had a passion for helping people. Always putting other people’s needs ahead of her own. She was always ready with a kind word or an ear to listen.

Kaley loved the outdoors and had an adventurous side to her. It involved spending time pursuing hiking, taking on the toughest trails, camping, fishing, and horseback riding. She took many trips out of state to places like California, Iowa, Canada, and cruising to places like Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico. She loved visiting her cousins that she thought were so cool.

We will remember you for being hard working, down to earth, sincere, and a great friend.

We will miss you.”

Kaley is survived by her mother JoAnn, father Tom, step-father Kim and siblings Stephanie, Chelsea, Tyler and Kyle. In addition she has grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends who all love and miss her. We love and miss her so very much and have a hole in our hearts and lives that will never be filled again. The family will be planning a memorial service for Kaley to be held at a later date which will be open to all who wish to pay their respects.

May you be at peace by God’s side Kaley, we love you with all our hearts and will miss you always.

This girl was special. If you didn’t feel good she would research any holistic healthy way to help. She was the best to snuggle up on the couch and watch true crime documentaries with until before you knew it was 3am. She used to drag me to hot yoga every Sunday morning and I told her I wanted to pick the yoga style the one week and surprised her with goat yoga. I don’t think either of us had laughed so hard in our lives. For years she was the first person I spoke to when I woke up and the last person I spoke to before bed. We spent holidays and birthdays together. She would vet any of the guys I would date and vise versa. The only one that EVER got her approval was my now husband. Her favorite food was breakfast, we ate at more breakfast places than I can count. She loved heavy metal music, the color green, and was smart as hell. She hated taking photos I’m happy I forced her to take so many with me or was sneaky and took some of her. I remember her and I were in a wedding and it was outside on top of a huge hill and we were in heels and dresses. We linked arms and practically had to drag each other up. We made so many memories together. She was one of the most beautiful people inside and out. I’m thankful I got to know her. There’s not much I wouldn’t do to have a chance to hug her and tell her how much I loved her one more time. ?

I never had the privilege of meeting Kaley but being her father Tom’s aunt and knowing what a gentle man he is, I am sure she also was very special. I send my deepest sympathy especially to Tom and Stephanie and her extended family. It is so sad to lose such a young, beautiful woman.

Kaley made such an impactful difference in my life. She had such a beautiful smile and such an infectious laugh. She truly brightened my day every time I saw her and her smile. My deepest condolences to her family, I’m so sorry for your loss. It was truly a privilege and an honor to be her friend.

Kaley was truly such a sweet, thoughtful, beautiful person. I am so sad to learn of her crossing over. Kaley and I shared an apartment in 2021 and from the very beginning I recognized Kaley as a hard worker, always heading to the gym before her long shifts as a first responder. As a then-nursing student I really looked up to Kaley for her service to others in crisis. She would often be in the kitchen meal prepping, and her supplement powders lined the cabinets which contributed to her healthy glow inside and out. Kaley was one of those girls who you look at and think to yourself “I need to get my life together like she has done; she has it all down.” You are so special Kaley and will always be remembered.
