Obituary

JOHN EATON, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, waited until just after his 67 th birthday before passing away on September 30 during a short hospitalization.

John was born in Nebraska, and grew up with his parents and 3 siblings in Arvada, Colorado.

He loved to go fishing, hunting & camping in the mountains, and could fix anything that was broken.

After moving to Arizona in 2007, he spent his free time lounging next to the backyard pool & playing with his dog. John retired from the US Postal Service in early 2024.

John will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his good sense of humor. Among those left to mourn him are his bride of 44 years, Twyla, his daughters Savannah (Michael) Hanson of Gilbert, AZ, and Amanda (David) White of Rio Rancho, NM, and his grandson, Santos; he was very proud of them all.

John left this world way too young, and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Per his wishes, his ashes will be scattered in the Colorado mountains at a later date.

My most sincere condolences to all of John’s family. I’m not sure when a child’s memory really starts but John is in that memory for me. 60 years as a best friend. We hunted, fished, backpacked stood up for each other at our weddings buried our parents celebrated children coming into our lives. A lifetime together. Who’s gonna fill those shoes. Praying for all who knew John. See you on the other side buddy.

My condolences to the family. When losing a loved one it can be unbearable. In the Bible book of Isaiah 25:8 Jehovah God promises soon to “swallow up death forever.” He also promises to bring back those who have fallen asleep in death (Acts 24:15). My condolences to Twyla, the girls and all of John’s family. John meant so much to me. We fished together; we camped together and we hunted together. He was such a great man and I’m proud to say that he was a great friend of mine. He really livened up every moment that he spent with me and everyone else. Everyone that I know loved this guy and he’ll be sorely missed but never forgotten.

I wish I could put the words to say how sorry I am to hear of your loss. John was a co-worker and friend for many years, and will be missed. He could fix anything, but our health is sometimes not as easy to fix, we lost him to soon, may God be with you and your family. At least John got who he wanted in the White House, I hope it put a smile on his face. You have my number any da any time.
