Glenn Anthony Borden

A Life Remembered
Obituary
Glenn Anthony Borden passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, at home and in the arms of his son, Alec at age 61. He was born on April 24, 1964, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Herbet and Marie Borden. He married and sealed for time and all eternity to his sweetheart, Vevette Massey on June 29, 1999 at the Mesa, AZ Temple.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Herbert and Marie Borden and brother, Jeffrey.
For more than 17 years, Glenn was the proud owner of his own HVAC business. He loved cooking for his family, spending time in the outdoors observing God’s beautiful creations and especially the magnificent Arizona sunrises over the Superstition Mountains.
Glenn’s son, Alec was his fishing companion and together they loved target shooting and reloading. Glenn had a passion for music and resonated with Billy Joel, The Eagles, 38 Special, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
For more than 5 years, Glenn battled emphysema and pulmonary embolism, while his beloved Vevette faithfully served him through tough and discouraging times, while she worked long hours despite her own physical challenges. The couple experienced firsthand the words of President Thomas S. Monson that drew them closer in Glenn’s final days, “The Lord gives us experiences that are for our good… even when we may not understand them.”
Some of the strongest motivators that kept him going for so long were watching his son, Alec, find and marry his soulmate, and the arrival of his new grandson, Ryker Westley Borden—who quickly became the light of his life and whom he was determined to spend as much time as possible with. One of Glenn’s favorite people was his grandmother, Josephine Ferrara, who he was very close to.
Glenn was known to everyone as having a “good heart,” and was loved by so many. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Vevette Massey Borden; son, Alec and daughter-in-law Madison Romay Lucky Borden, and their son, Ryker Westley; sister, Denise Ann Manion; and nephews Westley, Michael, AJ, and Justin Borden; and Jason and Shane Manion.
