About Gaylin Mehana Mendoza

Gaylin Mehana Mendoza (Enos) passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026 surrounded by her family in Mesa, AZ. She was born on June 22, 1973 in Monticello, UT to loving parents Ron and Linda Enos. Mehana was their third child of six and first daughter. She was a spunky child with an ability to make friends wherever she was. She spent her teen years forming so many friendships and playing volleyball. Some of those friendships have remained for her entire life.

She is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mehana believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all of her heart and is faithful and fearless in living it.

Mehana’s dreams came true when she met and married Jose Mendoza. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Mehana is blessed to be a mother of two amazing kids, Jeremyah and Mia. She often says that she is the luckiest to be a first-time mom twice and she loves being their mom. Jose, Myna and Mia hold the biggest space in her heart.

She traveled the world and lived life fully (and has the pictures to prove it). Her family is her most prized possession. She loves her friends like family and so everyone is ohana to her. Mehana loves to have her family gathered around her, and you know she is in her favorite place by her loud laughs that fill the room. She loves big and is loved back just as big.

As she returns to her Heavenly Father and her Savior, Jesus Christ, Mehana is survived by her husband and kids; parents; siblings: Kaleo (Michelle), Kunane (Julie), Maile (Jeff), Kea (Nicki), and Mahea (John); so many nieces and nephews; her Mendoza extended family; and so many aunties, uncles and cousins. We are all better for having Mehana in our lives. Families are forever and this ohana is no different. Aloha oe Mehana, until we meet again.

Sending my deepest sympathy and love to you and your family during this incredibly difficult time. Losing your beautiful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend is an unimaginable loss. Despite not seeing each other often, Mehana was incredibly easygoing and fun to talk to. She formed an indelible connection with me, and I will always cherish the memories we shared. Sending you all my love and support during this incredibly challenging time. With love, Sister Randall
