Obituary

Dorothy Harvey, 92, joined her sweetheart on February 14, 2017. Born in 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah, she married Rex Harvey during WWII and they were lucky to celebrate over 50 years together before his death.

Active in the LDS Church, she enjoyed serving and helping others, sewing, crochet, bowling, Wheel of Fortune and travel with her family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Ilene Chisler (Ron). She was survived by her daughter, Dixie Palmer (James C.), her son, Mark (Pam) Harvey, and many descendants.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 from 6-8 PM, at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 North Centennial Way, Mesa, Arizona. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11 AM, with a visitation at 10 AM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 933 East Brown Road, Mesa, Arizona. Dorothy’s final resting place will be in the Blanding Cemetery, next to her husband.

I offer my condolences for your loss. It’s never easy to lose a loved one, and I know Dorothy will be missed. I hope you can find comfort from Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
