About Charles Stuart Goldsworthy

Charles S. Goldsworthy, 88, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 4, 2026, at his home. Chuck was born on September 14, 1937, in Monroe, Michigan, to Praxseda "Sadie" and Edward Goldsworthy. He spent much of his childhood in Gladstone, Michigan, where his father served with the Michigan State Police and his mother worked as a telephone operator for AT&T.

A graduate of Gladstone High School, Chuck later earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University. He enjoyed a successful career with GE Healthcare, where he worked for more than 25 years and was respected by colleagues and friends alike.

Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharie, with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage, travel, and adventure. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Judy), Mike (Sandy), and Scott (Sarah); his sister, Karen; his grandchildren, Kristin (Joe), Dylan, Rocco, Brittany (Ryan), Kyle (Taylor), Abby, and Luke; and his great-grandchildren, Henry, Holden, and Isla.

A kind and gentle soul, Chuck enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved nature and especially treasured summers camping in Wisconsin Dells. He enjoyed traveling and took many road trips with his family, visiting national parks throughout the country. Later in life, he took dozens of cruises with his wife, family, and friends.

He enjoyed playing cards with friends in Arizona and loved sharing memories, travel experiences, and photographs. Whether talking with family, friends, or someone he had just met, he was always eager to strike up a conversation and share stories about the people or places that meant something to him. His kindness, warmth, and friendliness touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at a future date. A private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Sharie.
