Calvin was very sweet and thoughtful to read to my aunt, Ruth Allen, when she lived across the hall from his room on Winthrop Circle. She looked forward to him “rolling” into her room and reading to her each morning. She was bedridden and he knew she frequently slept through his reading , but that didn’t matter to him. He enjoyed reading to her anyway….just being there was important. Our family appreciated his thoughtfulness and kindness. He brightened her days. She passed quietly away in August of 2014 at age 94.
