Obituary

Bobbie Lee Sechman, who lived in Mooresville, Indiana for many years, was born on June 11, 1937. He passed away on December 24, 2018 in Mesa, Arizona, where he spent the winter months. He was a proud US Army veteran. Bob spent most of his working years as a maintenance supervisor in an automotive bearing company, and was very mechanically inclined. He could fix most anything. His hobbies included woodworking and he loved to travel.

Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha; son, David (Sandra); daughter, Dawn Stahl (Chris); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Fannie Sechman, and his sister, Peggy Hutchins.

There will be no funeral service, but a memorial service will be held in May in Indiana

Bob has been in my life since 1958, I believe. I now live in my folks’ old house, which has almost as many innovations in it by Bob, as those conceived by my dad. When the world lost BobSechman, it lost a great engineer & tinkerer, not to mention story-teller. It is just hard to imagine I’ll never hear one of his tales & reminiscences again. He was an excellent brother-in-law & a good citizen. Gonna miss him.

Bob was an American hero. He enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on with his family and friends. He was dedicated to his family, served his nation in the Army, worked hard and smart to enjoy his retirement years, lived his Faith and will be missed by many.
