Obituary
Allan Lee Sprague (Oscar) of Apache Junction / Mesa AZ, passed away Monday July 9, 2018. Allan was born September 1, 1953 in Ionia MI, son to Doris and Walter Sprague. Allan is survived by nine siblings and their families: Gloria Schutzler of Walled Lake MI, Walt & Donna Sprague of Six Lakes , Don Sprague of Mesa AZ, Steve Sprague of Ionia MI, Mary Tower of Lowell MI, Patty Sprague of Roseville CA, Judy Randall of Grand Rapids MI, Fran Sprague of Lyons MI, Carol Raymond of Colorado Springs CO. He lived in Arizona over forty five years and leaves behind many close friends. Allan was well known as train engineer at Goldfield Ghost Town where he guided the train tour and shared the history of the town and mountains. He loved to dance and to sing karaoke. Many friends knew him for his vast knowledge of song lyrics and artists, as well as extensive expertise in mechanical repair from trains to autos. He was passionate about attending classic car shows, mud bogging (because it is “loud, dirty, fast and fun”) and racing his car. Celebration of Allan’s Life will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church At The Mount at Goldfield Ghost Town.
