I was Alice’s visiting teacher for several years when I was in the Mountain Ridge Ward. Alice always made time for her visiting teachers. She was so good to welcome Carolyn Raley and I into her home. We always had the nicest visits. I loved learning about her life. She adored her grandchildren. She had a special relationship with her good husband as well. She was bold, honest and opinionated. She was my kind of woman. We laughed during our visits. I always left her home feeling loved. I feel that through our visits we truly came to know one another and developed a friendship in the process. I remember getting Christmas cards from her in the mail every year and thinking back on our visits. My life was blessed because she was a part of it. You’ll be missed Alice. I know that you are in a better place! Thank you for your example of enduring to the end.
