About Adolf Oscar Artuso

Adolf Oscar Artuso, (Al) (Torino Al) (Big Al), 63, passed away tragically, taken from his family, on May 27, 2025 in an auto accident in Mesa, Arizona.

He was born to Robert and Charlotte Artuso in Stuttgart, Germany on April 6, 1962.

He is survived by his loving Mother (Charlotte), wife (Naomi), Sons (Robert, Christopher), Daughter In Law’s (Angela, Ashley and Alissia), Brother (Robert and his wife Pam), Sister (Angelina and her fiancée Joe), Grandchildren (Katlynn, Robert, Evelynn, Evette) and our precious baby Christian who he had the pleasure of loving for 2 years, Great Grandson (Axel) who he loved but only had the chance to see in pictures. Many Nieces, Great Nieces, Nephews, Great Nephews, Great-Great Nephews, Sister in Laws and Brother in Laws. So many loved ones he leaves behind. And of course, his O’Reilly family, he loved you all!

Adolf (Al) had so many friends and loved ones that he truly cherished, you all know who you are!

He had a classic car collection bigger than most and loved bigger than most.

Until we are reunited in Heaven, I will miss you every minute of every day, all of me loves all of you! Love, Naomi

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Bunker’s University Chapel 3529 E. University Drive Mesa, Arizona 85213. Those who would like to send flowers, please have them sent to the funeral home on Friday, June 27.

Naomi and family Adolf was a great guy. He always made me smile when I was around and made me feel like family. I enjoyed talking with you both and seeing you on my trips out to Arizona. He will be deeply missed by everyone.

Adolf and I have known each other since we were 8 or 10 years old. I am crushed by this tragedy. The Biehn and the Artuso family are deeply interwoven with decades of Birthdays, Holiday celebrations, trips and very fond memories. My deepest condolences to all of his family!!!

Aunt Naomi and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know I may not have got to know Adolf but grandma karleen has told us lots about Adolf throughout my life and he sounded like a wonderful man. May he rest in peace. We will continue to pray for all of you during this difficult time!

Adolf and Naomi were both dear friends since school and that’s when their love story started. At our reunion they were as happy and in love with each other as they were as teenagers. During the years I would hear of some of their trials with health but they faced it together as a loving couple. I’m so sorry that Adolf has been taken from this Earth and I know that one day there will be a joyous reunion with his family. My prayers are with you.

I didn’t know Adolf personally, but met his mother Charlotte through Hospice of the Valley grief counseling and we became friends instantly. Al was a friend by way of helping me with parts questions for my 69 Barracuda. He was always willing to share his knowledge of classic cars, and always had a smile to flash. This “professional” friendship was just starting to grow outside the walls of O’Reilly’s. Al was a great guy who could be trusted and relied upon. I’m sorry he was taken but glad to have had the time with him I did have. So sorry for the loss of Big Al. He made the world a little better place.
