About Pamela Hall (Dayton) Woffinden

Pamela Hall (Dayton) Woffinden died July 15, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona. She was proceeded in her passing by her father John Blackford Dayton and her mother Valerie Agnes Scheeline and her brother John Blackford Dayton, Junior.

She was born in Giessen, Germany on December 5, 1947. Because her father served in the military, the family moved often. She referred to Reno, Nevada as her home because her parents grew up there and both set of grandparents lived there. She attended college at the University of Nevada at Reno and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She then received her physical therapy degree from Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. While she was in Los Angeles, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was actively involved in various church responsibilities throughout her life.

In 1970 she married Charles Brent Woffinden. Together they have eight children. Her life and joy revolved around her family. She rejoiced in her children’s accomplishments, consoled them in their trials, provided the best example she could for them to emulate. More than anything else, she loved being a mother of her 8, a grandma of her 37, and a great grandma of her 11.

She also derived great satisfaction from her professional career. As a physical therapist, she enjoyed serving and helping others to heal and recover. It just seemed to be in her nature to want to help other people and was able to focus on those who needed it the most.

She is an amazing person. One who tried, rather successfully, to emulate and serve her Heavenly Father, love and care for others, and bring joy, purpose and fulfillment to those who are blessed to be a part of her family.
