Philip Polizzatto

01/25/1953 - 01/30/2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phil Polizzatto, a loving father, devoted husband, and cherished grandfather. Phil passed away surrounded by his beloved family, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and laughter.

Phil was born and raised in New Jersey, where he formed the foundation of his values and work ethic. His journey led him to Arizona, where he built a beautiful life, enriched by the warmth of the desert sun and the company of dear friends and family.

Phil was a man of many passions, with a particular love for golf, fishing, and spending quality time with those he held dear. Whether on the green, by the water, or gathered around the dinner table, Phil’s presence was a source of joy and comfort. He had an extraordinary ability to light up a room with his infectious laugh and radiant smile, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

As a father, Phil was nurturing and supportive, always encouraging his children to pursue their dreams with confidence. As a husband, he was unwavering in his devotion, a true partner in every sense of the word. As a grandfather, he was a source of endless love and wisdom, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Phil’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the importance of cherishing life’s simple pleasures. He leaves behind his loving wife, his children who adored him, and grandchildren who will always remember the joy he brought into their lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Rest in peace, Phil. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.

Condolences

  • Dear Steve Polizzatto and extended family, I am so sad to hear of Phils passing, he was a great guy and I hold our friendship very dear. I first met Phil when I was a school bus driver at Creighton School District in the early 90’s and fostered a friendship with him over the years as I became a Transportation Director in 1999′. Phil was very helpful to me in those early years in the industry of Pupil Transportation, especially when it came to buying a school bus. Working at Auto Safety House he had much to gain if I bought from him but, it was more about what was best for me and the district I worked for. He was definitely a man of integrity and his work ethics spoke volumes to the kind of man he was. He lead by example and truly had my best interest at hand. Absent in my life since retirement, both his and mine, I have always considered Phil a mentor, a great leader, a colleague and my friend. He leaves behind not just a loving family but a legacy in life to be proud of. He made a difference and in the end that’s what we all hope to do. I will miss Phil greatly but am comforted in knowing he is among God’s angels. God Bless you Phil and thank you.

  • My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the entire Polizzatto family. I make living in a great industry… the student transportation industry. This would not have been possible without Phil Polizzatto. Phil hired me in 1999. He brought we into the wonderful world of school buses. We had many long discussions and sometimes even an argument or two about how to get things done. We may not have always agreed, but I NEVER lost respect for him. Known coast to coast and truly a legend in Arizona school transportation. I owe much of my professional development to things Phil to the time to teach me…and for that I will always be grateful. I know you’re playing golf and driving the fastest Firebird convertible around. RIP my friend.

  • A true honest man that always offered his help if you were in need of just about anything.
Over the years that we worked together, he never took the low road in his life, be it in , family, business, friendship.
    An all around GOOD GUY.
