Lawler Family: Our condolences on the loss of sweet Lyla. What a legacy she left you all. Praising God she is healed and again whole. Thank you Jesus! Max & Teresa, what amazing children you were to take care of her for so many years as she battled with Alzheimers. ((Hugs))

Dearest Family of Lyla, It is a heavy yet grateful heart that I write these words. Losing someone as extraordinary as Lyla leaves a void that only 98 years of grace could possibly fill. Lyla was truly one of a kind—a god-fearing woman whose faith wasn’t just spoken, but lived out in every kindness she extended. To see her winning smile was to feel the warmth of the sun; it didn’t matter if she was being a mother, a grandmother, or a great-grandmother, that sweet, loving personality remained her constant gift to us all. As we reflect on her beautiful life, I am reminded of Proverbs 31:26: “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” This was Lyla in every way. She walked through nearly a century of life with a hand held out to help and a heart ready to love. As a dear friend, she taught us that giving wasn’t just an act, but a way of being. While we will miss her deeply, we find peace knowing she is finally resting in the light she reflected so beautifully here on earth. With all my love and deepest sympathy,
