A Life Remembered

Obituary

KINNARD, Evadel “Eva” Natalie

Evadel “Eva” Natalie Kinnard, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at the age of 86. Eva was preceded in death by her husband of more than 54 years, Danny Douglas Kinnard, Sr.; her sister, Eileen Morrison; and her nephew, Christopher Morrison.

She is survived by her children, Leanne Kinnard (Dean Jacquez), Danny D. Kinnard, Jr, Brenna K. Kinnard (Richard Bills), and Erin Thompson (Russell); her grandchildren, Erica, Jason, Sarah, and Gracie; her great-grandchildren, Brandon and Annabelle; her niece, Melissa Morrison; and numerous extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her love.

Born and raised in Miami, Arizona, Eva graduated from Miami High School (MHS) in 1957. Soon afterward, she met Danny, also an MHS graduate, while they were both attending Arizona State University (ASU). They married on November 26, 1958, at Danforth Chapel on the ASU campus. Together, they began a life that would take them from Phoenix, Arizona, to Miami, Arizona; Yuma, Arizona; Roswell, New Mexico; and ultimately Mesa, Arizona. Early in their journey together, Danny pursued careers in education, technology, and business, while Eva was excited to start a family and raise their four children.

After they moved to Roswell, Eva served as Vice President of POISE (People Oriented Information Systems for Education), their family business. She played a vital role in the company's growth and sustained success, which served educational institutions throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Alaska. Whether in her professional life or within her family, Eva led with determination, earning the respect of colleagues and the love and admiration of those closest to her.

After selling their business and returning to Arizona in 1990, Eva devoted herself to caring for Danny Sr. following his disabling stroke in 1991. Throughout the years that followed, she dedicated herself to supporting her husband, meeting the demands of caregiving with resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment.

Eva led a full and active life, pursuing a wide range of interests, hobbies, and social connections. She remained closely networked with her fellow Miami High School classmates and found great joy in organizing reunions and bringing people together for Vandals’ gatherings. A passionate family historian, Eva devoted countless hours to researching genealogy and tracing family lineages across generations.

Eva will be remembered for her sharp intellect, her professional accomplishments, her unwavering commitment and loyalty as a caregiver, and the quiet strength and determination that defined her life.
