Mary “Angell” Evangeline Winston-Laub passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025.
She was born January 22, 1946 in Springerville, Arizona, daughter of the late Pete and Mercy Romero.
Her battle with various medical issues in recent years showed her resilience and courage in facing life challenges with a smile.
Angell is survived by her beloved daughter Elizabeth (John), five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Angell was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Laub and her four sisters Ramona, Viola, Aurelia and Clyda.
Angell was known for being a generous hostess and excellent party planner who was involved in many local social organizations. She was Founding Queen of Angell’s Fashionistas and member of the Desert Ya Yas, Miss Kitty Red Hatters, and Sassy Belles of Phoenix. Her beloved friends and family members benefited often from her enthusiasm and talent for entertaining. Angell was also a true animal lover who cared deeply for her pet dogs.
A Celebration of Angell’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 29419 North Desert Willow Blvd., Queen Creek, Arizona 85143.
