About Theresa Belanger

THERESA BELANGER (née Guillot), age 92, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2015. She was preceded in death by Fernand, her beloved husband of 61 years, her son Ray and her grandson Cameron.  She is survived by three children, Richard (Diane), Christine (Steve) and Claire (David), and her daughter-in-law, Leueen; 6 grandchildren: Julie (Jeff), Raymond (Sharon), Emily, Sarah (Justin), Ryan and Bryan; and 6 great-grandchildren: Spencer, Sam, Hannah, Mace, Cailyn and Isabella. Theresa is also survived by her sisters Lucile and Françoise, her sister-in-law Julienne and many nieces and nephews in Canada. She is loved and missed by her entire family and by countless friends old and new.

Theresa was born on August 6, 1922, in Beauport, Québec. She had real joie de vivre! She was fun and funny, outgoing and interesting, always the life of the party. She worked for Thrifty Drug Stores for over 15 years, first as a cashier, then as an educator, tooling all over the state of Arizona in her 1970 metallic blue Mustang Grande. Theresa loved making people laugh with her quirky sayings and stories, even the staff and doctors during her many hospital stays. She loved music, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, parakeets and teddy bears too.

We thank God for her in our lives, and for the miracle of dialysis that gave her 12 extra years of loving life. Her bright light will be missed, but it will lead us all back to her in due time. Love you, Mom, always.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Bunker’s University Chapel, 3529 E. University Dr., Mesa, Arizona.
