About Ronald “Ron” Corneliusen

Ronald “Ron” Corneliusen, 87, of Mesa, AZ (formerly of Lenexa, KS) passed away June 23, 2015.  Ron’s early years were spent in Benson, MN until he joined the Army in 1946.  He spent his service years in El Paso, TX, Korea, Japan and Germany.  After retiring from the service, he began a career with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as an inspector.  To his children he could do anything; build storm windows, sew couch slipcovers and bake the best bread.  He is survived by: Colleen (Carl) Lorson, John (Caren) Corneliusen and Ann (Jim) Balquist and six grandchildren: Nick, Elizabeth, Kylie, Hunter, Brian and Brett; sister Donna (Harold) Krenz of MN and all his friends at the Red Mountain Café.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mesa Public Libraries or KAET Arizona Public Television.

As always, we thought about you on your birthday (April 4th) and thought about calling you. We didn’t think this could possibly be the last chance we would have to say hi and catch up on old times. There is now one less good person in the world. All the good memories of you and your family will remain with Neil and me forever. We will continue to think about you and the good memories, but especially on April 4th and July 19th on Vi’s birthday. Give Vi a kiss for us. Love you guys.
