Portia Karen Smith

Portia Karen Smith born July 17, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, peacefully passed away on September 3, 2025, surrounded by her family, in Gilbert, Arizona.

Portia was preceded in death by her husband, Lot Delano Smith.

Portia and Lot raised their five children in Central, Arizona and were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Portia was an excellent pianist and spent decades as the ward
organist. Portia was 100% committed to raising her children and provided them continual support in their various school, church and sport activities.

In her later years, Portia and her husband were able to enjoy many wonderful experiences in traveling and exploring the United States.

Portia is survived by one sister; Andrea Nichole Arnson and two sons and three daughters; Robb Lot Smith (Lisa), Gilbert, Arizona, Heidi Allred, (Steven), Pinedale, WY, Heather Howard (Mark), Queen Creek, Arizona, Ladd Delano Smith (Audra), Queen Creek, Arizona, Nikki McEuen (Kevin), Gilbert, Arizona, 18 grandchildren, 20+ Great grandchildren.

The final wishes of Portia will be honored and a private grave dedication will be held. If you have a special memory or story with Portia, we would love to hear it and plan to add it to her memory book.
