He grew up in Mesa, graduating from Mesa High School in 1964 before serving a 2 year mission in the Central Atlantic States LDS mission. He married his high school sweetheart, Darlene Lisonbee on November 18, 1967 and they were lucky enough to spend 56 wonderful years together before Darlene passed away in May 2023.

Nolan worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker his whole life, working at Stradling’s Cabinetry in Mesa until he started his own woodworking business in 1982. Nolan loved to play softball, ride 4 wheelers and water ski. He took his family on trips to theme parks, the beach and road trips in their RV. He was a sports fan but loved baseball and all things ASU. He could build anything, fix anything and always had a smile for you. Nolan brought joy to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
