About Jessie Flora Camenzind

Jessie Flora Mullenax was born in Colorado to Mary Della and Vee Mullenax.  She had three younger brothers, Jim, Kem and Tem.  She grew up in and around Colorado Springs playing outside and doing a lot of fishing.  She was even once caught trying to eat a worm.

At 18 years old, she met the love of her life, Joseph Paul Camenzind.  They married on July 26, 1969, and promptly had four babies: Darlene Renee, Theresa Suzanne, Christine Diane, and Charles Joseph.  She was a devoted stay at home mom until each one of her kids was almost out of high school.

In 1985, Joe & Jessie moved to Arizona to get away from the cold.  Jessie started a typing business that focused on helping ASU students graduate.  In 1993 she decided to join the outside workforce of Farmers Insurance.  She stayed with them, keeping the business organized for 32 years.  On April 25th, at the age of 74, she finally retired.

On October 9, 2025, the Lord took Jessie to join her husband, parents, and two brothers, Jim and Tem.  She died at home after an 11-week diagnosis of stage 4 gall bladder cancer.  In her final days, she was surrounded by family and friends.   She knew she was loved!

Her greatest joy came from her family.  She is lovingly remembered by her children and sons-in-law: Dale Moser, Robert Ibarra, and Louie Carvalho.  Her memory continues through her grandchildren: Nicholas & Zachary (from Darlene); Lucas, Bryce, Sarina, Anna, Eric & Aaron (from Terrie); Anthony Joseph (from Christine).   She also leaves behind her treasured great-grandchildren: Sienna, Lorenzo, and Leonardo (on the way).

Jessie loved deeply, gave generously, and left behind a legacy of faith, courage and true friendship.  She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.

Mom, “We Love You More”!
