About Gary Robert Radtke

Gary Robert Radtke was born August 25th, 1946. He is the beloved husband of Karen, father of Kristen, Sarah, and James, and the grandfather of four. Gary passed away Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 after a valiant battle against cancer.

He was an advertising art director, designer, illustrator, jack-of-all artistic trades, practitioner of the martial arts, and a collector of everything, especially digital media. Gary was a quiet man with a kind heart, positive attitude, and a plethora of interests. He possessed a dry, quick sense of humor that could make you snort milk from your nose. He was a spiritual man, reiki master, and a believer in the goodness of the universe.

A Visitation will be held from 12-3 pm with a service at 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 3rd at Bunker Family Funeral, Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201.

Gary was loved by many, and will be missed by all. Until we meet again.

Honoring Your Loved Ones

I met Gary through my Dad when they worked at Action Performance and then again at HMI/AIR Marketing. Gary was seriously one of the best bosses I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I remember asking him, “Gary, why don’t you ever get mad when it’s so stressful?” He said “I practice Reiki.” It took awhile for me to completely understand what Reiki was, but thanks to Gary and his example, I use it everyday. I went on to get my Reiki Masters. Gary was always so patient and so kind and I really look up to him. May his spirit and kindness be remembered by us all. I will miss you Gary. Thank you for teaching me so much. Namaste!

Karen and family, We’re with you in thought. Gary had a big influence on my early career for which I’m forever grateful. But the greatest gift he shared was his friendship and that wry chuckle I can hear as I write this. Ke Akua ho’maikai. Sending our grateful Aloha from San Diego. Mark

May God’s promise at John 5:28,29 of a future resurrection bring you comfort. Until that time comes, he assures us at Psalm 34:18 that he “is close to the brokenhearted” and “saves those who are crushed in spirit.” So he understands your pain and grief and is eager to help you by giving you the strength you need to cope during this most difficult time. (Philippians 4:13)

I remember Gary from many years ago. He was a really good friend of my brother, Tom, who was killed in Viet Nam in 1968. So very sorry for the family that you lost such a good man. May Gary rest in peace.

“To the family of Mr. Radtke offer my sympathy, losing someone near and dear to us seems impossible to bear. At times such as you are now facing, our Father in Heaven sustains us through His Holy Word, reminding us we are not without hope. He vows to soon bring an end to sickness, sadness, and tears of pain, so may God’s promises be of comfort to you all, He is greater than our hearts.” 1 Thessalonians 4:14, John 5:28,29, Revelation 21:4,
