About Alejandro (Alex) Manuel Gonzalez

Alejandro (Alex) Manuel Gonzalez, 19, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away too soon on October 5, 2025. Born on March 28, 2006, Alex was the beloved son of Julie Chapman and Sergio Gonzalez.

Being the middle child among three brothers and one sister, Alex was blessed to be close with all of his siblings, who will always cherish the many memories they created together. Though many knew him as quiet or reserved, those who were close to him got to experience his funny, goofy, and warmhearted side.

Alex held many different passions during his life. Alex enjoyed music, with his passion extending to playing the cello and occasionally the piano. Most recently, he found excitement and freedom in his motorcycle, which became a symbol for all to remember. Above all, Alex treasured the time he spent with his friends and family. And although he may have never said it, it is clear that those people meant the world to him.

Alex is survived by his parents, Julie and Sergio, and his siblings, Christine, Enrique, Jesse, and Oscar.

Alex will be buried in the Mesa Cemetery, welcomed by his grandmother, who currently resides there. Please send any flower arrangements to Bunker’s University Chapel at 3529 E University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85213 by Friday, October 17th.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Alex’s life on Friday, October 17th, from 6 – 9 pm, at 1720 S Ironwood Dr, Apache Junction, AZ 85120.

Alex will be remembered for his quiet strength, his humor, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew him.
