Norma Raylean Munson’s grand entrance into the world began on February 19, 1943. She graced the lives of her parents Albert and Dorothy Hydeman as she grew into a beautiful young woman who wanted to join the FBI.  Sadly, this performance would never come to pass, and she decided to take on a more fulfilling role as a mother to her four children – Jim, Kim, Tiffany, and Parker.  This determined heroine also became a dedicated schoolteacher who would touch the lives of many students, especially those who took her drama classes.

As the family matriarch, parties, talent shows, and bug parades were just a few of the performances arranged by this gifted director. As a Sunday school teacher, temple worker, and Relief Society teacher, she endeared the people around her with her caring disposition.  Alas – this true performer shall be missed.  Encore Raylean Munson!

Raylean’s last act in this mortal existence ended on November 4, 2022 in Gilbert, Arizona.  As a mother, sister, wife, drama teacher, and friend, Raylean lived a life full of adventure.

Raylean is survived by her siblings – Nancy, Albert, and Susan; her 4 children and their spouses, 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Molly.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Lindsay Ward chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1150 N Lindsay Rd, Gilbert, AZ  85234.

Robert Odegard, 79 passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 in Mesa Arizona.

Bob was born March 26, 1943 in Spooner Minnesota.  He married Betty Elaine Wilson on September 9,1964. They were lucky to have celebrated over 50 years together with their five fabulously spicy daughters.  Bob retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He started his second career in the technical industry, working  for another 30 years. He worked all over the world. His favorite assignment was Crete, Greece where he was a government contractor for 10 years.  His daily visits to the pier and coffee in the morning were his favorite rituals.  His love for cars and obscure music always left his grandchildren wondering what was next on the playlist!

Before he sees his Great Creator, he will visit the great cremator. We love you Dad!

He is survived by his wife Betty Odegard, sister Linda Jones (Les) of Montana, five daughters Yvonne McIver (Robert) of NewCastle, England, Karrie Jaster (Rock) of Washington Utah, Nicole Powell (Rock) of LIttleton Colorado, Katrina DiLeo of Mesa Arizona, Bobbi Curren (Rob) of Anchorage Alaska, his five grandchildren Stone Odegard (Sabrina) of Loveland Colorado, Kailey Smith (Alex) of Victoria, British Columbia, Jessica Moh (Travis) of Provo Utah, Rocky & Reece Powell of Littleton Colorado, along with his 3 great grandchildren Milo, Bodhi & Fynli Smith of Victoria, British Columbia.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Carl & Ruth Odegard

Ronald Paul Searle passed away at age 66 on October 31, 2022.
Ron was a man of great caliber, a legend to many who knew him and an inspiration to all those that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Loraine Cook Searle. He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Snow), his 8 children, Rachael Olson (Zach), Nicole Carmichael (Jaron), Taylor (Laurie Beames), Shauna Crittenden (Josh), Todd (Justine Petersen), Tyson, TJ (Kayla Keith), and Trevan, as well as their 23 grandchildren. Also surviving is his father, Paul Searle, and his siblings Kathy Gardner (Dave), LeAnne Hoopes (Dan), Scott Searle (Jennifer), and Steven Searle (Tonie).

Ron was born on October 21, 1956, in Provo, Utah. He grew up in California and Oregon, then moved to St. George, Utah, as a teenager. There he graduated from Dixie High School where he met his future wife, Peggy. Ron served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Italy Padova mission from 1975-1977. Afterwards he attended and graduated from Dixie College (1979) and then Brigham Young University (1981). While obtaining his education, Ron and Peggy were married in the St. George Temple on Dec. 16, 1978.

Ron and Peggy moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1981. He lived and raised his family in Mesa and Gilbert. It was during this time that he affected many young men and women as a Seminary and Institute teacher for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ron was also privileged to serve in the church: bishoprics, young men’s, scouting, and Sunday school instructor. His favorite calling was always working with the young men. He knew how to teach in a way that just stuck, went straight to the heart, and stayed. Even now, over 40 years later, the mere mention of the name, Ron Searle, brings a smile to the faces of past students as they recall the influence he had in their lives. He was a master teacher and influence for good.

During that time, he also owned and operated a local jewelry store, The Diamond Consortium, located in Mesa, Arizona. Many local couples happily recall it was where they had a great experience purchasing their engagement rings. Even there he taught – a person didn’t buy a diamond without knowing the 4Cs.

Retiring from teaching and the jewelry business, he decided to fulfill his dream and made a bold move to Arivaca, Arizona, where he started the Arivaca Boys Ranch. This is where his love of adventure, horses, sharing the gospel and passion for helping the youth all merged into one. Many lives of both staff and boys were changed by his love for them and the things he taught.

Ron is beloved by all who knew him because he treated people with compassion and cared for them as if they were members of his family. He truly knew how to make anyone feel welcome. It was one of his many gifts that will continue to give, even in the afterlife. He displayed many Christlike qualities in his too short earthly life. He will be deeply missed, but his memory and example of how to serve others and show love to one another will live on.

Visitation services will be held on Thursday, November 10, from 6-8 p.m. at the Bunker Family Funeral Home located at 3529 E. University, Mesa, AZ, 85213.

A funeral will be held in his honor on Friday, November 11. Visitation service is from 12-12:45 p.m. and the funeral service starts at 1 p.m. at the church located at 1010 S. Recker Rd. Gilbert, AZ. 85296.

Susan Lee McCrite was born in September 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Royce and Marjorie (Brown) Squier. Susan peacefully passed away on October 31^st at the age of seventy-six.

Susan grew up in Coshocton, Ohio, attending both grammar school and high school before graduating from the University of Akron, then graduate work at Northern Arizona University

Susan married Dwight Shobert in 1969 and had two daughters, Courtney and Kathryn.

Susan married Michael McCrite in July 2006.  They honeymooned in Alaska on a cruise ship.  They also enjoyed overseas travel to countries including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria.  They loved spending quality time together in their home in Payson, Arizona.

Susan passionately taught world history and other subjects for thirty plus years.  Many students have remained in contact with her through the years beyond the classroom.  She was a loving mentor who modeled exemplar real-world life skills.

Susan enjoyed many activities beyond teaching in her retirement including shopping, watching movies, spending time with her grandchildren, walking her dog Harley, decorating her home for every season, and hosting delightful family dinner gatherings.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband.

She is survived by her husband, Michael McCrite, brother Richard Squier & his wife Margie, and children Courtney & Katie Shobert, Kathryn Shobert, Katie & Chris Driving Hawk and Jason & Nikki McCrite.  She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Bryson, Benjamin and Emerson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service at Bunkers Family Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa AZ 85201, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at 3:00pm on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

In lieu of flowers or plants, please consider a donation to Hospice of the Valley.

Anna Jean Porter, 95 years old; daughter of Frank and Beulah Gibson, wife of William Stanley Porter, mother of Gary & Alana Porter, Sandra (deceased) & Duane Gines, Dennis & Michelle Porter, Cynthia & Phil Peden, Linda & Ross Heywood, Nancy & Dale Robinson, and KC & Wendy Porter; slipped away in her sleep on October 29, 2022 – a peaceful sleep to a joyful awakening.

Grandma Jean has 35 grand children and 64 great grandchildren.  If there was a position of service in her beloved Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held it and loved serving.

A granddaughter, Carling Rebaza captures her grandmother with the following: “When you think of the great people of this world, those who have honed their skills to become the best of the best, you think of great writers, artists, and athletes.  You don’t often think of the humble positions such as a Grandmother.

For those lucky enough to call Anna Jean Porter, “Grandma Jean”, you know that she is indeed the greatest of the greats.  She perfected her craft.  All 35 of her grandchildren and 64 great grandchildren could secretly feel they were her favorite, because that was part of her magic; a bold statement, but true.  She was a gift I could never have deserved, but one I reverence thankfully.”

Gennette Maria Isabel Kadri (Thomas) died in Bountiful, Utah on the evening of October 22, 2022 at the age of 77. Gennette was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on February 18, 1945 and lived there until the age of 18. Her unique heritage in Costa Rica and the experiences she had as a child were a part her daily conversations throughout her life. In 1964 she moved to Mesa, Arizona with her family. There she attended Mesa Community College and Arizona State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry. She promised her sweetheart Eyad she would marry him after she finished her schooling. They were wed on June 2, 1973. They began a life full of adventure and travel where they raised two sons and as a family lived in Page, Arizona; Oceanside, California; and internationally in Riyadh and Damman, Saudi Arabia. In her later years she also lived in Doha, Qatar and Mesa, Arizona with her husband. Together they visited many countries on four continents, making friends everywhere they went,

Because of her love for each person she met, Gennette would host parties on a regular basis, cooking up a variety of dishes to bring people from many different backgrounds together. Another great love was for sewing and quilting. That passion culminated in making her daughter-in-law’s wedding dress. Gennette also enjoyed shopping and gathering costumes, local wares, dishes and décor from the many countries she travelled to. A visit to her home was as exciting as visiting a museum of international culture.

She made each day a learning experience and loved to offer her advice to whomever would listen. Known for her outstanding memory, Gennette was able to recall details of her life that enriched and tutored those around her. Her love for her ancestors and devotion to family was of highest priority. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served among her friends in a variety of capacities.

The last eight years of her life were spent as a FamilySearch missionary: assisting others with their genealogy research.

Gennette was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She is survived by her husband Eyad Kadri, her sisters Olga Soto and Adriana Thomas, her brother Carlos Lawrence and her children Zyad (Patricia) and Omar (Keri). She also has seven grandchildren; Taryn, Avery, Ayla, Andrew, Eryx, Iolani and Adessa.

Harold Edward Pattee, 88, died Saturday, October 29, 2022 in Mesa, AZ. He was born on June 27, 1934 in Phoenix, AZ to Earnest Harold Pattee and Ina Mae Hamblin.

On June 8, 1956, he married his high school sweetheart Phyllis Adams at the Latter-Day Saint Temple in Mesa, AZ where they were sealed for time and all eternity as husband and wife. They were blessed to celebrate almost 59 years together before she preceded him in death. Together they raised their 7 children (1 son and 6 daughters).

Professionally, he was a noted research chemist earning many prestigious awards in the Peanut Science research field. He worked for the US Department of Agriculture for 42 years at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. Personally, he was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served on the High Council, as a Temple and Family History Missionary, and as Bishop. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years and received the Silver Beaver Award.

Of all, that he was a part of, his greatest accomplishment was being a husband and father. He was dedicated and loving. His life was devoted to learning and service. He leaves a legacy of research related to his career and his love of genealogy.

Harold is survived by his wife, Letha Liddle Pattee; children, Floyd L. Pattee, Phyllis Kofford (Russ), Linda Bernard (Doug), Deborah Pattee, Sherri Pattee, Sheila Pattee, and Yvonne Lee (Garland); 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters Pat Wilson (Ken) and Thelma Winters (Al). He is predeceased by his wife Phyllis; father; mother; step-mother Thelma; brothers John Merwin and Raymond.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 532 South Greenfield Rd, Mesa, with visitation at 10:30am and services at 11:30am. Burial will be immediately following at Mesa City Cemetery, 1212 N. Center St. Mesa, AZ.

Duane Richins, 89, passed away peacefully at his home on October 29, 2022, in Mesa, Arizona, to the comforting voice of his sweetheart holding his hand, recounting early memories of their love story. The chimes of his clocks and the comfort of home gave him peace to return to his eternal home where family and friends welcome him.

The youngest of 4 siblings, his homecoming includes his father, Wellington B. Richins; mother, Edith Winifred Richins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cleone Magnusson (Bernard), Evelyn Herbert (George), Irma Harris (Russell); and many dear friends and family.

Duane is survived by Belva Camille Cox, his wife of 64 years; his 8 children, Lisa Jones (Gary), LuAnn Pulver (Craig), Don Richins (Laura Jo), Steve Richins (Tina), Mike Richins, Kristen Birch (Doug), Shelley Nevin (Todd), Kevin Richins (Andi); 28 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren.

Duane and Camille married on April 10th, 1958, for time and eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple, and began their family the next year while he was finishing his undergraduate degree from ASU. By the spring of 1961, he had completed his Master’s Degree just weeks after their third child was born. Together with his sweet wife, they brought their 3 little ones to his graduation.

Duane’s career in education was continually focused on helping youth. He taught 8th grade for the first 4 years, but then spent the rest of his career in guidance counseling. The highlight of his career was the 3 years he spent living with his family in Tonga working for the Church Education System. The family’s time in Tonga was a cherished memory throughout his life.

Duane always wanted to have acreage for a small farm and room for the kids to roam, so he was thrilled to make that dream come true on two acres of land in Lehi. He built his home on that property with the help of friends and family. He learned the skills he needed by going out to observe tradesmen working on new construction homes for Farnsworth Construction. Raising kids on the farm brought many opportunities for hard work and many memories of creative ways to get the job done.

He and Camille sold their Lehi home, leaving one dream behind to pave the way for another, to serve a mission together. They realized that dream when they were called to serve in the Illinois Peoria Mission serving at the Nauvoo Visitor Center. Their love for missionary work continued with two more missions, North Carolina Greensboro – Institute Support and New Mexico Albuquerque – Humanitarian. Duane also served in the southern Gulf States Mission in his youth.

He was an active lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called to serve in many capacities, but, like his career, he loved serving the youth, especially the priest quorum. He also had a passion for researching family history and loved the time he spent serving in the Mesa Arizona Temple.

He leaves a legacy of hard work, dedicated service and a care and concern for the wellbeing of family, friends and those in need.

Duane loved sports and he excelled at them. He played baseball and basketball in high school and his Mesa High basketball team won the state championship in 10th and 11th grade and runner-up in 12th grade, he was the MVP! His coach wrote in his Senior yearbook, “It is an honor to coach a player who makes ‘All State’ 1st Team, Co-Captain and Most Valuable Player award. I really appreciate the chance to work with you. Congratulations to a real Champion.” – Coach Heywood

Duane was a passionate supporter of Arizona sports teams – the Suns, Cardinals, and Diamondbacks, as well as all ASU Sun Devils sports. Basketball was his favorite sport to play and he excelled at it, playing for the University of Arizona in his college years. His wonderful posterity will continue to cheer on his Arizona teams in his memory.

We will miss his wit, his love, his caring, and dedication to all of us. May the beautiful blooming petals of fragrant roses, like those of his garden, remind you of him.

Travis Carr, 52, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2022, in Mesa, Arizona. He was the beloved father of Tristan Carr and Taylor Carr. He was a beloved husband of Kimberly Carr, and stepfather of Shea Moore, Seth Barron, and Chase Barron. Travis led an active life in mission work through his church, and boating, traveling, and four-wheeling with his family. Travis was also well known for his work in the pest control industry within the east valley communities through his company, Zip Zap, Inc. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life full of light and color will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2022, at One Life Church 2130 E University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85213 at 12:00 pm. Loreen Wahlquist Taylor (63) was born on December 19, 1958 in Othello, Washington. Loreen passed from this life at home in Mesa, Arizona on October 25, 2022, and through the veil into the loving arms of our Savior, and her parents Colleene and Charles Wahlquist, and all the family that has gone on before. They are enjoying a happy reunion.

Loreen will be dearly missed by her husband of 31 years James R Taylor, and their 2 sons. Their older son is James C. Taylor, his wife is Allison and their 2 Daughters and our Granddaughters Delta June and Annie Loreen. Their younger son is Zachary C Taylor and his wife is Makensey. Loreen will also be missed by her brothers and sisters and their families, Clayton and Kayleen Wahlquilst, Peggy and Larry Stout, Terri and Donald Stratton, Robert and Michelle Wahlquist and Lee and Denise Wahlquist. Loreen will also be greatly missed by her inlaws James L Taylor, June and her sister-in-law Jill, and by many friends and family. Loreen enjoyed her career as a mortgage underwriter and those she worked with there.

Loreen’s favorite thing to do was to go to Delta and Annie’s house to play. She loves her Granddaughters and wished she had more years to spend with them and her other Grandchildren that will surely arrive in the future. She wished to be able to know them and to help them grow up and to be there for them.

Loreen was very creative, talented and could do anything. She enjoyed gardening and being in the yard, quilting, crocheting, knitting, sewing, making jewelry, puzzles, hiking in the desert, camping, bike rides around the neighborhood and just walking the dog around the park. She enjoyed writing poetry and short stories, and was an avid reader. Loreen loved music. She loved to sing and sang in ward choirs her whole life. She played the piano, guitar and ukulele. The boys remember fondly the lullabies that she would sing to them every night when they were young. Sometimes the lullaby would be a Christmas song, or a church hymn, or a song that the choir was working on, or sometimes just a song that she heard on the radio that day.

Loreen and Family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were sealed in the Provo Utah Temple as an Eternal Family. Loreen served as ward music chairperson, and led the music in Sacrament Meeting for many years. She also led the music in Primary and was the Primary Pianist for years. She also served as Nursery leader, Young Women’s camp director, and many other callings. Loreen served a church mission for a year and a half in the Australia, Adelaide Mission and loved the people and her time there.

Loreen was a loving, patient, hardworking, and all-around Christlike mother. She only ever had good things to say about anyone and lived to lift and help others.

Loreen loved flowers, looking at Christmas lights, and making her yummy caramel popcorn to give away to family and friends at Christmas. She loved her family. She loved our Savior Jesus Christ and his Gospel. She loved the Temple. She loved life. Now concluding a valiant 5-year battle with ovarian cancer she is free from the pains of this life and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be Saturday November 5th, 2022, 6655 East Preston Street Mesa, AZ 85215. Family visitation 9 am. Funeral service 10 am. Family interment 12 pm at Mountain View Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207.

Dr. Jason Andrew Jones passed away October 18, 2022, at the age of 53, in Bozeman, Montana. He was born January 17, 1969, in Fullerton California. He is survived by his children; Andrew (Alex) Jones, Chloey Jones and Mackenzie (Cameron) Dey, parents Sally Jones, Bill (Sue) Jones, and siblings Jordan Jones and Jennifer (David) McElroy.

Jason attended Trevor Brown High School in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a fine football player for the Bruins and a very good student. Jason made several lifelong friends while attending school. He served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to Columbus Ohio. He continued his faithful service in the church throughout his life, including in the Boy Scouts of America with Andrew, and working with all of the men of his congregation in the Elders Quorum. He coached Chloey’s soccer team for two years.

While attending ASU he met Kimberli Christensen and they were married in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on July 31, 1991. Jason graduated from ASU in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Zoology prior to attending Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa. He completed his medical residency in Minot, North Dakota. Dr. Jones practiced medicine in Lake Tahoe Nevada, Queen Creek and Gilbert Arizona (Generation Family Practice) and recently Bozeman Montana.

Dr. Jones was an avid ASU football fan where he held season tickets for many years. He also enjoyed fly fishing on the Gallatin River in Montana, snow skiing and team roping on his favorite horse “Hank.” He was always willing to pitch in and help others.

Charles Laverne Jungman, born July 16, 1934, was called home to heaven Friday, October 21, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born to Ferdinand and Ethel Jungman in Des Moines, Iowa. Charles, ‘Chuck’ met his future wife Marilyn in 1953 at the University of Iowa. They soon married, and settled in Van Meter, Iowa. They worked together at Jungman Oil until retirement, raising three children. Marilyn preceded Chuck in death on December 16th, 2020. They were married for 66 wonderful years.

Chuck led a very happy, active life filled with family and an abundance of friends. He was well known for his sense of humor and his infectious chuckle!  He loved to travel, bicycle, golf and ride motorcycles; always with his beloved wife Marilyn at his side.  They shared many great stories of their countless RV journeys across the country.  Chuck caught the bicycling bug in 1974 when he got wind of a bicycle ride across Iowa.  This later became known as the infamous RAGBRAI, in which he participated on many times and always enjoyed following.  Chuck never knew a stranger, always there to lend a hand if needed. He was active in the Shrine for many years participating in many worthy causes.

Chuck and Marilyn lived in the Phoenix area for the past 37 years. The southwest climate seemed conducive to their health, so that’s where they chose to spend their golden years. However Van Meter has always and will always be their home.

Chuck is survived by children Dr. Douglas Jungman (Donna) of Bradenton FL, Dennis Jungman (Ann) of Fairfield PA, Debra Decker of Mesa AZ, grandchildren Adam Jungman (Erin), Bridget Harry (Matthew), Elise Pfeifer (Drew), Megan Buhrman (Zach), Courtney Morrison (Richard), Catie Van Cura (Robb) and great-grandchildren Ellie, Tellulah, Bronson, Evie and Oliver with more on the way. Chuck is also survived by many friends and family whom he adored. We find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his beloved wife, parents, and brother in heaven.

A celebration of his life will occur at a later date. Both Chuck and Marilyn will be interred at the Van Meter cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please cherish every day and hold the ones you love a little tighter for a little longer.

Dorothy A. Minch, 90, passed away peacefully at her residence in Gilbert, AZ on September 11, 2022. Dorothy was born and raised in Minatare, NE. She married Elmer Minch in 1952 and then moved to Scottsbluff, NE where they started their family. They then moved to Arizona in 1964 and raised two boy’s Jim, Gary and a daughter Debbie and spent the rest of their sixty one wonderful married years together. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, daughter Debbie, parents Gus and Cara Struxness, Brother Bob Struxness, sister Sibyl Meher, and brother-in-law Harry Meher.

Dorothy was very giving of her time and felt passionate about volunteer work for The Child Crisis Center and A New Leaf / La Mesita. Dorothy and Elmer spent many years traveling abroad where they met and became life-long friends with many along the way. Every Saturday night was spent going out to dinner, playing cards and dominos with friends. They were blessed with many wonderful friendships.

Dorothy had a love for animals. She had numerous dogs and two turtles.

Dorothy was deeply loved and will be truly missed by her sons, daughters-in-law, eight grandkids, twelve great grandkids and two great-great grandbabies.

A Memorial date is to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Mark’s Food Pantry, A New Leaf, or La Mesita.

James “Jim” Sublett passed into eternal peace on October 16, 2022, at the age of 81. He will be sorely missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday November 5, 2022, at 3:30PM at First United Methodist Church located at 15 E. First Avenue, Mesa, Arizona. There will be a light reception will follow.

Christine Archuleta, 68, was called home by our heavenly father on October 24^th, 2022. She was born September 13^th, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio where she stayed until she ditched the snow for the sunny desert. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas, whom she shared 40 fulfilling years with. After only three months of knowing one another, they knew they were destined to be together. They were blessed to have raised three amazing children, Michael, Steven, and Jennifer along with 5 beautiful grandchildren. She was unapologetically herself who loved her life and her family more than anything. A close second were her pets and the color purple. You could regularly catch her yelling at the Browns on TV or winning it big at the casino. She will be deeply missed by those blessed to have known her. We know she is excited to be reunited with loving family up in heaven.

Memorial services are Tuesday November 1^st at 10am held at Bunker University Chapel, 3529 E. University Dr., Mesa.

Kimberli Christensen Jones passed away October 18, 2022, at the age of 50, in Bozeman, Montana. She was born May 23, 1972 in Gallup, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jason Andrew Jones. She is survived by three amazing children; Andrew (Alex) Jones, Chloey Jones and Mackenzie (Cameron) Dey, parents Jim and Susan Christensen, sisters; Amy (Melynda) Thorpe, Suzette (Brent) Jacobsen, Rochelle (Matthew) Tingey and Mary (Jake) Jackson, brothers; Jimmy (Lisa), Eddie (Jillian), Leo (Elizabeth) and Joseph (Rachel) Christensen.

Kimberli attended Mesa Public Schools graduating from Mesa Mountain View High School. She was an avid track, cross country star and achieved high academically. While attending ASU she met Jason Andrew Jones and they were married in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints on July 31, 1991. Kimberli graduated from ASU in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Justice Studies. While Jason was doing medical residency in Minot, North Dakota Kimberli attended Minot State University earing her Masters Degree in 2005. Kimberli ran her husband’s medical practice and was referred to as “the office manager extraordinaire.” She was anticipating returning to school this Spring to earn her PHD.

Kimberli was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in numerous callings. Her favorite calling was serving in the Primary where she loved practicing her “edible object lessons.” Kimberli was goal oriented and hard working. She was an amazing and loving mother and a favorite Aunt. Kimberli loved the outdoors where she enjoyed biking, skiing, and hiking. She fell in love with Big Sky, Montana and for the past three years made it her home. Her heart was as big as the outdoors. She was always looking for opportunities to serve and assist those in need, particularly children. Kimberli was in the process of creating a non-profit called ‘The Invisible Lunchbox.’ It is a program that will provide lunch tickets for the entire school year for children who don’t qualify for the free lunch program but who’s parents are financially unable to pay for their child’s lunch. The Invisible Lunchbox will ensure each child is fed equally. Her children, Andrew, Chloey and Mackenzie will complete the process of creating this nonprofit and maintain and oversee it.
