Adam DeLeon Bermea, 76, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2010. He was born in Nixon, TX. Adam is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Lou; son, Adam Jr.; daughters Sylvia and Christine Bermea, four adopted children; two sisters, Eva Alvarez and Enedina Lopez. Adam was preceded in death by his son, Arnold Bermea. The viewing will be held Friday, November 19, 2010, from 6-8 PM at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1244 S. Power Road, Mesa, AZ. Adam enjoyed watching John Wayne movies including the encores. He also enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. Adam was a strong and very determined man. He died with dignity.

Glen Wesley Vance, 81, of Gilbert, AZ died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 in Mesa, AZ. He was born May 7, 1929 in Chandler. Mr. Vance was an educator and real estate agent. He is preceded in death by his first wife Monagene Dudding Vance. Survivors include his wife Marjie Brown Vance, daughters, Kristin Brown, Marcia Johnson, and Marianne Ricks, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way in Mesa and 9-9:30 AM prior to the services. Funeral services are Monday, Nov. 15 at 10 AM at the LDS church at 4170 S. Ranch House Pkwy. in Gilbert.

Jack C. White, 81, died Tuesday Nov 9, 2010 in Mesa, AZ. He was born in Wabash County, IL to Sereno and Violet Seibert White. He was the president of the FFA in high school and helped with the family farm. After graduation Jack continued to farm with his father and had a variety of jobs including working as a Culligan man, a gas station attendant and then a mechanic and later a foreman at the Ford dealership. Jack also joined the Mt Carmel City police force as a police officer. He married Leila Jean Witsman of Mt. Carmel and they had three children together. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1962. Jack worked at Al Klunder’s gas station in Maryvale, where he met his current wife Verlie Nelson. Jack worked at the Phoenix Water Plant for over 25 years. He was willing to help anyone put on a roof, paint a house, or fix something that was broken. He loved helping others and was generous with his time and means. He was a playful tease to those he loved. No one was a stranger to Jack. Jack was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked into his seventies with the cub scout program. He loved teaching boys how to work with wood, power equipment, and how to build things. Over the years he developed a great love for family history and spent many hours searching and working on his geneology. Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years Verlie Nelson White and his children Jack White Jr. (Teri), Jane White, Jean White (Joan), Bob Nesbit and Frances Davis (Don), 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 12th from 6-7:30 PM at Bunker’s University Chapel, 3529 E. University Dr. in Mesa. Funeral services will be held at 10.00 AM on Saturday November 13th at the LDS Church on 616 S Extension Rd. in Mesa, AZ.

Edna Bridgman, born March 30, 1929 in Foster, OK, passed away Nov. 6, 2010 in Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband Cliff Isley, son Mike McKinney and parents Charlie and Beatrice Hughes. She is survived by her husband Charlie, daughter Sandy Dahlstrand (Craig), grandsons Josh, Miles and Toby, 2 great-grandsons, and 4 great-granddaughters. Funeral services are Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11 AM preceded by a visitation at 10 AM at Bunker’s Garden Chapel.

Col. James F. Warnock, Jr. (ret), our dear husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away from causes related to stroke on Sunday, November 7. He was born March 13, 1926, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a veteran of the Korean War, during which he was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in action, and served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. Jim was awarded the Legion of Merit, three times and served as a member of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and served on the Army Staff. He loved his country. Following retirement from the Army in 1974, he served the State of Arizona as Director of the Solar Energy Research Commission until 1987. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Udall Warnock, daughters Ann Johnson (Scott), Karen White (Tom), Mary Grass (Bill), and Patricia Johnson (Mike), and son Jamie Warnock (Noreen). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren. Funeral services are Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10 AM preceded by a visitation at 9 AM at the LDS Mountain Vista Ward, 10305 East Southern Ave. in Mesa. The family is especially grateful for the kind care given Jim by Grace Hospice and the Copper Cottage Hospice House in Mesa during his final days. Wendell Haws Eyring, came to this earth on Monday, 23 September 1918. He returned home on Sunday, 7 November 2010. Wendell is the son of Andrew Theodore Eyring (1884-1964) and Edith Haws (1887-1986). He was born in Mesa, Arizona. He was the sixth of eleven children; however, only four siblings lived to maturity. Wendell grew up as the “oldest.

Soon Eui Kim of Mesa, AZ and formerly Cherry Hill, NJ passed away Oct 30, 2010 at the age of 70. She was born on Oct 25, 1940 in Korea. She is survived by her loving husband Han Sik, 3 children Susan, Sandy, and Tony, 2 step grandchildren Missy and Chris. She is also also survived by many relatives of the Kim, Choi, and Fetter families. She was predeceased by her son in-law Jeff Fetter. W. Keith Garrett, 81, of Tempe AZ, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 in Tempe. Mr. Garrett, an entrepreneur was born in Wellsville UT. He served an LDS mission in the North Central States mission and graduated from Utah State University. He also served in the US Army as an officer during the Korean War. He returned to school graduating with an MBA from Brigham Young University and continued his career. He dedicated his life to serving his family and church. He is pre-deceased by his wife Leota and brother Fred. He is survived by his sister Ella Maughan, eight children Keith (Karen), Monte (Michele), John (Delynn), Marcia (Jeff) Penrod, Marie (Bill) Owens, Cheryl (Warren) Schick, Stephen (Brooke) and Adele (Doug) Taylor. He is also survived by 30 grand-children. Visitation is Wednesday Nov. 3, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa AZ 85201. Funeral services are Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at 1 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lakeshore Chapel, 6001 S Lakeshore Dr, Tempe. Additional visitation will be Saturday Nov. 6, 2010 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at the Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St, Logan UT. Interment will follow in the Wellsville City Cemetery.

Allison Ann Bowers(1999-2010)

Beloved daughter and sister Allison Ann Bowers, age 11, passed away in a tragic bicycle accident on October 26, 2010. She was born in Provo, Utah, on January 21, 1999, to her loving parents, Robert and Melinda Bowers. Allison, a very spiritual, teachable girl who had read the entire Book of Mormon by herself, was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was in the 6th grade at Hale Elementary School in Mesa. Those around her knew her creative and artistic talents; she loved to write, read, draw, garden, and cook. She liked to eat homemade rolls, tamales, and guacamole. She was a peacemaker in her family and would take care of her younger sisters and brother. Allison was also full of energy and enjoyed climbing, hiking, running, biking, swimming, kite flying, and playing tag. She especially loved playing with her cousins, and they have many fond memories of fun times spent with her. She loved her parents and family and was loved by them in return. Allison always wanted to go explore new things with her father and she described her mother as her hero in a school assignment, citing the times they spent together reading, cooking, and painting. A younger sister said Allison was always there when she needed her. Her immediate and extended family all loved her beautiful smile and her amazing spirit. Allison is survived by her parents, Robert and Melinda Bowers; older brother, Robbie; three younger siblings, Johanna, Dallin, and Emily; grandparents Robert and Pat Bowers and James and Ann Tanner; and an extended family of 15 aunts and uncles and 25 cousins. She will be deeply missed by all of them. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Delight J. Bowers. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. in the Mesa 24th Street LDS Chapel (1911 North 24th St., Mesa, AZ 85213). Relatives and friends may call at Bunker’s Garden Chapel (33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ 85201) on Monday, Nov. 1, from 6-8 p.m., and at the 24th Street Chapel from 9-9:40 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mesa City Cemetery (1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, AZ 85201).

Claudia Hope DeTemple, 89, of Portland, OR passed away Oct. 24, 2010 in Mesa, AZ. She was born in Portland on July 1, 1921 and lived her whole life in Oregon until just 3 months ago when she came to Arizona. She graduated from Kellogg Elementary School and Franklin High School and spent most of her life as a loving and caring homemaker. Hope was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be surely missed by her family. Hope was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold DeTemple, and great-granddaughter, Sophie Hope DeTemple. She is survived by her children, David J. (Elaine) DeTemple of Gilbert, AZ, and Claudia Diane (John) McDermott of Stayton, OR, 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Fern Webb Tenney, 89, passed away October 18, 2010 in Tempe, Arizona. There will be two visitations, the first is Friday, October 22, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Bunker’s University Chapel, 3529 East University Dr., Mesa, 85213. The second is Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 8:30 to 10 AM at the LDS Del Rio Ward, 1881 South Del Rio Drive in Tempe. Graveside services are Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 4 PM at the St. David Cemetery in St. David, AZ.

Zachary Joseph Marco, 21 years of age, born September 20, 1989, was tragically taken from us October 17, 2010. The oldest of three children, Zach is survived by his parents, Daniel J and Claudia R Marco, his beloved sisters Kathleen (Katie) Danielle, and Michelle Rae, grandparents, Richard J. Marco, Sr. and Shirley Ann Marco of Medina, Ohio, and Evelyn R. Bochkoros of Middleburgh Heights, Ohio, aunts Cheryl Lynn Pobega and Camila Bochkoros, uncles Richard J. Marco, Jr., and Kenneth J. Marco, as well as numerous cousins. Zack was a junior at the Barretts Honors College of Arizona State University where he was studying Political Science and Philosophy. He planned on joining his father in the practice of law. Zachary was beloved, not only by his family and friends, but by numerous people he met at ASU where he tutored Political Science and at Red Mountain High School where he lettered in football, wrestling and cross-country. He made many friends at the Arizona State Senate while serving as a Page, on all of whom, he left his mark. Zack also participated in a number of service organizations, including Habitat for Humanity. There will be a viewing at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ on Tuesday, October 26th, 2010 from 6-8 PM. A short memorial service will be held Wed., Oct 27, 2010 at 1 PM at Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay Road in Mesa. Donations may be made to the Tempe Police Department’s Silent Witness Program (480 WITNESS) in Zack’s name. Zack – We so miss and love you! There is so much more that could be written about his life till today, and so much of his life that will remain unwritten forever.

Krider, Caitlyn Joanna, was born Nov. 19, 1972 in Laramie, WY and died Oct. 5, 2010 in

Mesa, AZ. She was outgoing, friendly, fun loving and generous; she loved her son, her

daughter and friends dearly. She is survived by son, Drew of Colorado and daughter
