Minnie Farr Stout, 93, passed away June 24, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born July 22, 1918 in Snowflake, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband Archie Leon, and her children Leon Stout and Idonna Miller. Those who remain to miss her are her daughters, Judy S Medinger, Terry Hall, Lavieta Henry, and Daylene Fowler. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading scriptures and religious texts. Visitation is Friday, June 29, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way in Mesa. Funeral services are Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11 AM, preceded by a visitation at 10 AM at the LDS Chapel, 977 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa, 85204. Burial will be Monday, July 2, 2012 at 9:30 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, 85024.

Andrea Rachel Walker

Andrea Lewis Walker was born on June 19, 1985, in Hillsdale, Michigan. She lived in Lexington, KY, for 1 year and then St. Louis, MO, for 1 year. At age 2, she moved to Gilbert, Arizona. She attended Val Vista Lakes Elementary, Highland Jr. High, and graduated from Highland HS in 2002. She served in the AZ Army Nat. Guard. On April 6, 2010, she married the love of her life, Kevin Eugene Walker in Gilbert, son of Norman and Kathy Walker (Mesa, AZ). Andrea and Kevin were blessed with a beautiful son, Alexander Lewis Walker, on January 6, 2011. Sunday, June 24, 2012, she passed away suddenly in Chandler, AZ, having just celebrated her 27th birthday. She is survived by her husband Kevin and son Alex, four step-children, Shaylee, Jaden, Layton and Carson Walker, parents John and Katherine Lewis, siblings, David (Melissa and daughter Myah) Lewis, Jennifer Lewis and Brent Lewis, and grandparents Rodger and Helen Gunn. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the LDS Chapel at 1005 N. Voyager Dr., Gilbert, AZ. Viewing at 9:30 AM and funeral at 11:00 AM.

Joseph H. Rauch Jr., 59, of Mesa, AZ, died June 15, 2012. Born April 11, 1953 in Newark, Ohio, Joe attended Coronado High School and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated employee of SRP for 36 years. Joe loved and adored his wife, Dollie, taking immense joy in their children. He considered his greatest accomplishment to be raising happy, successful and confident children and grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe, and brother, Bill. Richard Allen Alexander

Richard (Rick) Alexander

Born February 14th 1963 – called home June 15th 2012

Born and raised in Colorado –Rick loved the outdoors – fishing the beaver damns, camping and exploring places like the mine in the mountains of Marble, Colorado. Though he was not much of a water man or cold temperature man; he was very warm-hearted and had a wonderful sense of humor.

After graduating in 1981 from Pomona High School, he attended the Colorado School of Mines and was awarded his Bachelors of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 1986. Later, he received his Masters Degree in Material Science from Case Western Reserve University and his MBA from the University of Phoenix.

His career took him from making jet engine parts at Precision Cast Parts in Minerva, OH, to repairing jet engine parts at Chromalloy in Phoenix, AZ. He reached the height of his career as an Engineering Manager evolving new technology with computer chips at Intel Corp in Chandler, Arizona.

His life was filled with family and friends. He was an avid online computer gamer, and an extreme gun and sports car enthusiast. He was always an animal lover and all the animals loved him, no matter how much he tormented them.

He married his high school sweetheart, Amy Elwell in 1985 and remained married for 27 happy and wonderful years. They shared their life with two beautiful amazing daughters, who he was very proud of.

He is survived by his wife Amy Alexander, daughter, Krysta Alexander, daughter Alycia Reese and her husband Brandon, his parents, Dan and Alice Alexander of Colorado; sister, Deborah Troudt and her husband Mark of Colorado, mother and father In-Law Richard and Oreen Elwell of Colorado, brother- In-law Kerry Elwell of Colorado; sister and brother in-law, Wes and Luanne Farmer of Colorado; 1 niece and 3 nephews.

Rick will be missed by all and remembered by many. His big heart, bright smile and contagious laugh will remain in our hearts forever.

Silvestre Galvan, born Dec. 30, 1931, was called home Tuesday, June 12, 2012. There to meet him were his wife Celia and children Susana and Jimmy. Left to carry on his traditions, are his children Irma (Oscar) Montano, David Galvan, LC (Charles) Longmeyer and Danny Galvan. His legacy will be continued through his 9 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. After farming for 44 years he retired to spend more time with his family. Known for his fast driving, the silver egg and giving nature, he will be missed by all. Rita P. Reyes of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the age of 91. She was born May 22, 1921 in Gomes Palacio, Durango, Mexico. Rita and her late husband, Rev. Roman L. Reyes and family lived and ministered in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado before settling in Arizona. Rita is survived by her four daughters, Irma Schmidt, Rosella Escamillo, Ruth Cameron, Norma Shipp and five sons, Reuben, Roger, Roman, Robert and Rudolph Reyes, 36 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren. Clayden James Hammond, 5 years old, born February 8, 2007 in Mesa Arizona, returned to his Father in Heaven on June 9, 2012. Clayden was raised in Grants, New Mexico and survived by parents Aaron and Helen, brothers Tyler, Gregory, and Bryn, and sister Amanda. Clayden had just graduated pre-kindergarten and was preparing for a summer of baseball, wrestling, and soccer before his departure. Clayden is remembered by numerous friends and extended family as the little man with no fear and who loved everyone. Clayden will be dearly missed and his laughter will be heard in our hearts until his Savior brings him forth again. Funeral services for Clayden will be held and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel located at 1852 N Stapley Dr. Mesa AZ on Saturday June 16, 2012. Viewing will begin at 8:00AM, with services starting at 9:00AM. Graveside interment will be at the Mesa Cemetery at approximately 11:30AM. We would like to give a special thank you to the New Mexico State Police, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Mesa Police Department, and all other agencies and organizations that have dedicated so much to Clayden. Lucile Pratt, daughter of Harold and Anna Pratt passed away peacefully June 11, 2012 in Gilbert, AZ. Lucile taught history at Brooklyn College and Utah State University, and was a Cataloger for the Family History Department of the Church for Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until her retirement. She served 5 full-time missions for the Church, the first in the Mexican Mission and 4 cataloging at the Mesa Family History Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ana Marie (Dan) Taylor, Gerda (Carl) Haynie, Harold W Pratt Jr. (Connie), and Elena (Ron) Turley. She is survived by siblings Berta (Bob) Whitney, Carmen (Lenn) Shumway, Ramona (Jim) Gale, Doratha Rae (Farrell) Young, Kathleen (Charles) Bigler, and almost brother Gerald M (Vera) Pratt, along with nephews and nieces. Visitation is Friday, June 15, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Bunker’s University Chapel, 3529 E. University Dr., Mesa, 85213. Funeral services are Saturday, June 16 at 2 PM, preceded by a visitation at 1 PM at the Summerfield Ward, 2700 E. Galveston, Gilbert, 85295.

Norman Lavern West, 91, of Mesa, passed away on June 11, 2012. Norman was born Nov. 4, 1920 in Lakeside, AZ to Lavern and Delma Colvin West. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Evelyn Massey West, his children – Norma King (John), Royce (Ann), Darvil, Wade, Nolan (Carole), Janis Wilkins, Sundee Burney, 24 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He served in the Navy during WWII. He was a life long member of the LDS Church, with heritage of Mormon pioneers. A viewing will be held at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, Friday Jun. 15 from 6 to 8 PM. Services will be held Saturday Jun. 16 at the Aspen Ward at 48 St. and Southern in Mesa at 10 AM with a viewing at 9 AM. Interment will be Monday Jun. 18 at the Lakeside Cemetery at 2 PM.

Edward Lee Provence, our dear husband, father, step-father, grandpa, and friend Edward L. Provence, 82, of Mesa, AZ passed away unexpectedly June 6, 2012 in Mesa, AZ. Born February 2, 1930 to Kenneth and Lela Provence in Cobden, IL. Lived in and graduated from high school in Ogden, UT and joined the Navy at age 17 right out of high school, serving honorably in the South Pacific islands from 1948 to 1952. He found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and became a converted member July 7, 1952 and served in his church in many different capacities the remainder of his days. He auditioned with Walt Disney Studio’s for character voices, including Donald Duck, but decided to go a different direction for his career. While in California he served as a Fireman and Paramedic, which he loved. He began his lifelong career of sales for various companies including his own PSA Sales LLC, throughout the states and achieved top awards and recognitions for his work. He was married to Ruby Turnbow for some time. Together they had 5 children, Rick, Kelly, Robert (Cathy), Susan (Scott), baby Jon. Later in life found the Love of his life in Carol Jeanne Standish Sundberg. They married December 27, 1975 and were very happy together for the last 36 years. He loved his step sons Eric (Marnae), Neil (Tina), Mark (Kathy), Emory (Caralee). He has 29 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He loved all his family and children everywhere. He was known fondly by the children of his ward as the Cookie Monster. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob, baby son Jon, and great-granddaughter Dallas. Services will be Tuesday June 12, 2012 at LDS chapel 2334 E. Pueblo, Mesa AZ 85204 at 11:00 AM with 1 hour visitation prior. Family & friends my also visit Monday evening June 11, 2012 at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ from 6–8 PM. Interment in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale, AZ. Arrangements by Bunker’s Garden Chapel.

She had such an absolutely beautiful smile and a contagious personality that made all those around her feel special. JaKelle truly loved life, spending time with her family and friends and dancing.
