Cynthia was best known as Cindy. Cindy is survived by her loving husband Franklin “Bruce” Ross. Siblings: Patty Jamison Shultz, and Myrna Jamison Epperson. Children: Bryan S. Power, Matthew “Matt” C. Power, Jason P. Power, Christopher “Shawn” Ross, and Shane J. Ross. Daughter-in-laws: Melissa “Misi” Power, and Jamie P. Power. And her all-time favorite, her loving grandchildren (oldest to youngest): Brianne Power, Pace Power, Colton Power, Kali Power, Spencer Power, Makayla Ross, Mina Power, Jared Power, and Jaxon Power. Also, numerous in-laws, and nieces & nephews.
Cindy was not born with a silver spoon in her mouth; it was more like a wooden twig. This being said she was well loved and cared for as the baby of the family by her older siblings and a hard working mother. She was taught the value of honest hard work and charity.
Her tenacious personality was present at a young age and carried throughout her entire life. She had many adventures in her life, journeyed down many paths and learned a great deal about life. She was a hard worker and found the beauty in everything around her. She was a very wise woman who spent a large part of her life doing for others. She was blessed with the gift to recognize those in need and the ability to help them in just the right way. She was very in tune with the Holy Ghost and always acted when promptings struck her without question or hesitation. She blessed countless lives of strangers, neighbors, ward members and family. She spent her life helping because it was the right thing to do, not to gain praise from others. She may have done what she did quietly in the background but, when Cindy had something to say she made sure she was heard.
She spent almost thirty years as the companion and best friend of Bruce Ross. They worked hard to make and achieve goals in their life to better themselves and their combined family. They lived each day by the words of the prophet Ezra Taft Benson “When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place or drop out of our lives.” They worked together as a team, but Bruce will admit that Cindy was very much the driving force behind their team.
Cindy leaves a giant whole in this world that can never be filled and an example of what to strive for. She has a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings of temple marriage and eternal life. Her greatest desire was for her children and grandchildren to live in such a way that we could all be together in Heavenly Father’s presence someday. We are all sad for ourselves because we miss her here with us, but we know that we will see her again.

John Halsey Naylor, age 67, passed away in his home this past Saturday, July 30, 2016. He was taken back to his heavenly home with very little suffering from stage 4, aggressive cancer of the stomach and liver. He was diagnosed on July 9th, 2016 and endured minimal pain over a very short period of time. This was a blessing for such a wonderful man beloved by many.
John was born in Henderson Nevada to the late Charles Irwin Naylor and Ruth Ida May Griswold Naylor, and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He and was the 3rd of 4 siblings. He was predeceased by his younger brother Thomas Charles Naylor, who died in 2010, he is survived by his older brother Robert Wesley Naylor and older sister, Kathryn Virginia Naylor: both living in California.
His high school friends remember him as, “a highly intelligent person, a fierce and skilled athletic competitor, a highly principled person and most of all, someone of impeccable character.” John’s family, friends, clients and colleagues knew him to be an easy going person with a gentle heart, strong faith and a loving and gentle manner. His dry wit and wonderful sense of humor always livened every encounter, even during the drudgery of tax time.
John attended USC for his freshman year of college. During this year he read the Book of Mormon, and gained a strong testimony. At that time he converted from Methodist to Mormonism.
In the fall of 1968 John began attending BYU finishing his BA and MA in Accountancy in 1972. In 1973 he became credentialed in 3 separate organizations as a CPA.
For over 40 years he operated his own private business from home. He was an auditor for various cities and served as a personal accountant for thousands of clients. As one client expressed, “I worked with John Naylor 4-5 times a year for 14 years!!! We shared philosophies, ethics, numbers, sensible pencils, and some of my stories that would have us in ‘gut-busting’ laughter, his dry sense of humor…I could go on and on…my favorites were his updates on his kids and grandkids; he was on top of everything what everybody was into and loved it.”
John and his first wife Cheryl were married in 1969 and together raised 5 wonderful children. He was active in all their church activities and attended numerous school functions. He was a sports enthusiast, coached a variety of athletic teams and made each one of his children feel special and loved. He was a wonderful provider-frugal in his money management, so he could be generous with his time and means.
In 2007, he attended his 40th reunion as a single man, and reunited with Ginger Lee Morgan Naylor. They had been friends since the 7th grade and lived on the same street and grew up together in Las Vegas. The connection was instantaneous and the remaining 8 years they shared together (5 years as man and wife) were wonderful and truly a gift from God for both of them.
John was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Creator.
John is survived by his wife Ginger Lee Morgan Naylor; his former wife Cheryl Naylor; his sons Michael John Naylor & former spouse Yoko Naylor, Benjamin Charles Naylor and spouse Rebecca, his daughters Amber May Naylor Aldous & spouse T.J. Aldous, Amanda Ray Naylor Anderson, and his youngest son Timothy Morgan Naylor & spouse Britta. He is also survived by his step-son Bradford Logan Buskirk and spouse Kristen. Between all 6 children he has 18 grandchildren and one more to arrive in late September.
