Dominic Dustin Daughtrey, age 39, passed away on June 3, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dominic is survived by his daughter, Peyton; his parents, Doe and David Daughtrey; his siblings, Tatiana, Natasha, and Misha; and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his sister, Astrid.

Dominic was born on December 23, 1982, in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona in 2001 and earned a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in Business Management, from California State University-Los Angeles in 2011.

Dominic was passionate about his work and excelled in his nearly twenty-year career as a Construction Industry Innovator, Program Manager, and Project Manager for several large construction companies, most recently at Sundt Construction (2013-2019).

Learning new technology was very important to him and in 2015 he started learning how to use drone technology in large construction projects and quickly became an expert, obtaining his drone license in 2017 and earning his team at Sundt public recognition for their drone program.

He was the recipient of prestigious awards, including the 2019 Construction Industry Innovator of the Year Award, and was proud of his numerous industry certifications and licenses. In 2019, Dominic combined his years of experience, training, creativity, and vision, and formed his technology consulting firm, Phoenix Innovation Lab.

Dominic loved having adventures with his daughter, family, and friends. He was energetic and thrived when being active. He loved teaching Peyton about science and one of their favorite activities together was building and launching rockets. He could often be found enjoying boating and jet skiing, snowboarding, being at the dunes in his Can-Am, fishing, or traveling around the world with his family.

Dominic will be forever remembered for his large, vibrant smile and infectious laugh that could fill a room, and as a much-loved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

This is heartbreaking! Dominic was a client and a dear friend of mine. I loved his passion, enthusiasm, and his can do attitude. Brother, how can you be gone? The world is already a little less bright without you in it. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. We feel a fraction of your pain and it’s heartbreaking. Dominic was a customer and peer but it’s more accurate to say he was an inspiration.
