 Leenita Janiece Chandler
November 28, 1940 - February 26, 2026

Leenita Janeice Sego McClendon Chandler passed away peacefully at her home in Mesa, Arizona, on February 26, 2026.

Born on November 28, 1940, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Marvin Albert Sego and Jessie Lee Lakey Sego, Leenita was the third of six children. Leenita’s childhood included many adventurous stories, two of which were stitches after a fall on rocks in Flagstaff and an unforgettable encounter with a bed of red ants. She learned at a young age the motherly influence. She also learned the value of hard work while helping her family as a teenager: babysitting, cleaning, ironing, and later working long hours at the Chatterbox Café in Cottonwood, Arizona, where she learned to cook, bake, and serve her community.

Faith became Leenita’s anchor early in life.  Although she visited many churches as a young girl, she consistently felt peace and a sense of belonging at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was baptized a member at age 11. She grew into a determined young woman who wanted a faithful life and a strong family, even when she felt she didn’t “measure up.”

Leenita met Eugene Alan McClendon, and they were married in 1958 in Cottonwood, Arizona. Together, they ran a chicken ranch. During their marriage, they were blessed with two daughters, Valorie and Becky. Eugene’s childhood rheumatic fever returned, and after months of illness and Leenita’s devoted care, he passed away in 1961. In the midst of grief, Leenita held to her faith and her purpose as a mother, trusting the Lord to guide her forward.

After Eugene’s death, Leenita moved to Mesa, Arizona, with her two little girls and two younger sisters. There, she was determined to build a stable life and keep her family close to the church. She enrolled at the newly opened Rose Mar Beauty College and attended the Mesa 6th Ward, where friendships led her to meet Jimmy Keith Chandler, a kind and steady man who also knew grief, having lost his wife and baby daughter to illness. Leenita and Jimmy began dating and were married in December 1961, in Nogales, Arizona, and were later sealed in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. Leenita and Jimmy made their home in Mesa (Lehi), Arizona, where they were embraced by a loving community. Together, they built a life grounded in faith, work, and family, being blessed with nine more children over the years.

Leenita and Jimmy worked side by side for decades in the family’s janitorial businesses. One in particular is the Nuss Building in Scottsdale, where all the children have many memories of working alongside their parents while they taught them unity, responsibility, and pride in honest work.

Leenita served in many callings in the church, but her favorite was teaching the children in Primary. She later cherished the years she and Jimmy served as missionaries at the Mesa Family History Center beginning in February 1997, where she loved helping patrons discover their roots and felt guided in her work.

Leenita’s greatest pride and joy in life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They brought her so much joy. She served them tirelessly and effortlessly. She had a love for all babies, and whenever one was around, you could guarantee she was holding it, and would do so for hours. She was small in stature, but could hold her own, taking down and wrestling any one of her sons, grandsons, and granddaughters. She will always be remembered for her Sunday pot roast dinners (for anyone who showed up), Chevron runs, love of root beer and chocolate, disposable cameras, Scratchers, always knowing the count of her grandkids, the walls of her home covered in family pictures, and being the staple at baby blessings, baptisms, and weddings.

Leenita’s life testified of prayer, perseverance, and the sustaining power of the gospel. She is remembered with love for her devotion to family, her steady faith, and her deep gratitude for the life she was blessed to build.

She is survived by her eleven children: Valorie (Scott) Hansen, Becky Wyatt, Brian (Tami) Chandler, Douglas (Amy) Chandler, Jon (Jenny) Chandler, Jeffrey (Melanie) Chandler, Nancy (Dustin) Hineman, James (Melissa) Chandler, Bradley (Dawnett) Chandler, Craig (Heather) Chandler, and Kevin (Linda) Chandler;  48 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and her sister Eda Harville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, four siblings, and five grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Lehi Stake Center, Address1430 N Grand, Mesa, AZ 85201.

Funeral services will follow immediately after the viewing.

The interment will be held at the Mesa City Cemetery

Robert H Hicken
11/26/1946 - 02/25/2026

Robert H Hicken (Bob or Bobby) was born on November 26, 1946, to Cyril and Mazie Hicken in Heber City, Utah. Nine days after his birth, Mazie slipped from this life but has been his angel mother throughout his life. When he was 5 his dad married Vay Huffaker. She was a mom to all the children and added one more brother to the family. She raised them all as her own. He was raised on the dairy farm with his sister and 5 brothers. From an early age he learned to work hard and that a job well done brings satisfaction. Being raised on the farm formed his penchant for hard work, love for family, and uncanny ability to problem-solve.

After serving a mission in the West Mexican Mission, he married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Ryan, in the Salt Lake Temple on March 14, 1968 – there sealed for eternity. During this time, he determined a construction career was for him and, after some formative years in Utah, moved his family to Arizona, where eventually he became part of Arizona West Contracting Corporation, serving as Vice President and General Superintendent. It was a career that allowed him to bless his family and many, many others through constant acts of unabated service.

His family was the center of his life, and he and Pat were blessed with 6 children— Shantell (Jay) Carroll, Tara (Kurt) Deem, Marissa (Bret) Hunt, Kamara (Gregg) Murset, Ryan, and Caskie (Chad) Brimhall. Subsequently, 37 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren (and growing) have joined the family and love to call him Papa.

He and Pat were able to serve as mission leaders in the Mexico City East mission.

Throughout his life, he has strived to live the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and he has served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He passed away peacefully in his home in Gilbert, Arizona surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer on February 25, 2026.

Adrian Charles Kuzdas
07/21/1950 - 02/23/2026

Adrian Charles Kuzdas passed peacefully from this life on February 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, intellect, devotion, and deep love for those closest to him.
Adrian was born on July 21, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles Witt Kuzdas and Agnes Voermans Kuzdas. He grew up in St. Louis, where he developed a lifelong love of baseball, playing throughout his youth and high school years. He also enjoyed archery and carried with him a competitive spirit balanced by quiet determination.

Adrian attended the University of Missouri–Rolla, where he studied electrical engineering. During his college years, he became an avid spelunker, mapping caves for the U.S. government, an early sign of the precision, curiosity, and discipline that would define his professional life.

While working at Pizza Hut and Taco Kid, Adrian met the love of his life, Maureen Ellen Cazier. Their courtship led to marriage in August of 1972, beginning a partnership that would span decades and bless their family with strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Adrian joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after gaining a testimony of the doctrine of eternal families, a belief that shaped every priority and decision throughout his life.

Adrian built a distinguished and highly successful career as an electrical engineer. He worked for Motorola, VLSI, and Microchip, contributing his expertise during pivotal years in the semiconductor industry. He was responsible for many patents, and was respected for his brilliance, steady leadership, and integrity. Though accomplished professionally, he was never defined by titles or achievements. His greatest pride was always his family.

Together, Adrian and Maureen raised six children: Heather Anne Kuzdas Sutton (born 1973, passed 2016) (Jayson), Tiffany Michelle Kuzdas Cavalieri (Jimmy), Kristy Lynn Kuzdas Williams (Tyler), Jennifer Elaine Kuzdas Ellsworth (Kevin), Afton Nicole Kuzdas West (Cam), and Kenneth Adrian Kuzdas (Kristel Wray). He delighted in watching his children grow, marry, and build families of their own.

Adrian’s life was marked by devoted service in his church. He served faithfully in many callings including Elders Quorum President, member of a Bishopric, High Councilor, Stake Clerk, and Sunday School Teacher. He and Maureen dedicated seven years as Directors of the Mesa Family History Center, along with additional years serving in various family history roles. Helping others connect with their ancestors became one of his great joys and spiritual callings.

Family was the center of Adrian’s world. He treasured family game nights (especially spirited rounds of Phase 10) family gatherings, zoo lights, fireworks displays, dive-in movies at home, fishing trips, baseball games, and air shows. He loved aviation, baseball (especially talking statistics and history), and any excuse to gather the people he loved in one place. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a particular source of pride and happiness. He is survived by 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He delighted in watching them grow, cheering them on, attending games and performances, hosting family gatherings, and creating traditions that will live on for generations.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agnes Kuzdas; his mother- and father-in-law, Don Cazier and Virginia Snow Cazier; his beloved daughter, Heather Anne Kuzdas Sutton; and his sister, Pamela Kuzdas Hartman. Though these reunions in heaven bring comfort, his absence here is deeply felt.

Those who knew Adrian knew a man of quiet conviction, steady faith, sharp intellect, and deep loyalty. He believed in hard work, eternal perspective, and showing up for the people who mattered. He was a builder; of circuits, of systems, of testimony, and most importantly, of family.

The world feels steadier because he was here. Heaven is brighter because he has returned home.

Funeral services and interment details will be shared by the family.

Tilden Walker Jordan
05/18/1975 - 02/25/2026

Tilden Walker Jordan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away at home after a valiant four-year battle with cancer.

Walker was born on May 18, 1975, in Mesa, Arizona, to Cheryl “Sherry” Jordan and David “Mike” Jordan. A proud Arizona native, he built his life around the things he loved most: his family, his work, and the outdoors.

His greatest pride was his family. He wanted to witness and participate in all their activities and could often be found on the sidelines at Tooele High School events or at the Tooele County Fair, simply to be there with his kids. He loved to travel and spared no expense when taking his family on vacation, enjoying the finer things in life, especially when making memories together. Over the years, they reminisced often about those special trips and the fun they shared. He was a prankster and often came up with challenges for the kids that resulted in monetary gain in exchange for their embarrassment.

Walker was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, hobbies he began early in life with his dad. In recent years, he harvested a trophy elk in Idaho and a black bear in Canada. He loved fishing for catfish in the pond across from his house.

Walker took great pride in his career with Transco Conveyor Services. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and the respect he earned from colleagues and friends throughout his career. He made lifelong friendships through his work, and many became his hunting and fishing buddies, along with his son, Tye.

A lifelong and devoted fan of Arizona State University football, Walker first attended games with his grandparents and later continued the tradition with Karen and the kids. One of his favorite memories was celebrating Arizona State’s win in the Big 12 Conference. Go Devils!

Walker’s greatest joy came from his family: his wife, Karen; his son, Tye; his daughter, Erika; and his bonus daughters, Whitney and Gracie. At the beginning of his cancer journey, his granddaughter Ava was born. She brought him countless smiles and laughter during a difficult time.

He will be missed beyond measure, and his family looks forward to the day they are reunited with him again.

Walker’s wishes were to be cremated. Services will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Details will be announced at a later date.

11/4/1945 - 02/19/2026

Diane Chesley Cook, 80, passed away on February 19, 2026, at her home in Mesa, Arizona, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Diane was born November 4, 1945, in Mesa, Arizona, to Lamar Perkins and Ruthe Perkins. She grew up with resilience, independence, and a spirit that carried her through every season of life.

At just 15 years old, Diane married Bill Chesley Jr. The young couple began their life together in St. George, Utah, where Bill played football for Dixie College. Diane became a mother of two by the age of 16, stepping into the role with strength, determination, and deep love. She was the mother of five children and built her life around caring for and supporting her family.

Later in life, Diane married Don Cook, with whom she shared companionship, friendship, and many meaningful years. Diane was a devoted mother to Kathleen Chesley Hubbard (Robert Hubbard), Jody Chesley Augustin (Kurt Augustin), Maren Chesley Noble (Paul Noble), Loren Chesley (Julie Goodman Chesley), and her youngest daughter, Elisabeth Faith Chesley Ketron, whose passing in 2020 remained tenderly held in Diane’s heart. She also cherished her stepchildren Marlo Cook, Jason Cook, and Jimmy Cook.

She is survived by her brother Gary Perkins (Kathy Perkins) and her sister Karen (Perkins) Shill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Ruthe Perkins; her brother Norman Perkins; her husband Bill Chesley Jr.; and her beloved youngest daughter, Elisabeth Faith Ketron.

Her greatest joy was her family. Diane was the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. She celebrated their lives, laughed with them often, and loved them fiercely.

Diane dedicated her professional life to public service through the Arizona court system, including work connected with the Arizona Supreme Court. In her final role before retirement, she authored procedure manuals used across the state — a reflection of her diligence, intelligence, and commitment to helping others. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Diane lived with an eternal perspective of family. Her testimony shaped how she loved, served, and endured. She dedicated herself to service and showed Christlike love through the many callings she fulfilled, quietly blessing the lives of those around her. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. Diane’s wit, honesty, and authenticity made people feel comfortable being themselves. Her strength was unmistakable, but so was her warmth.

In her final days, she spoke often about grace — reminding her family that we all make mistakes and that she was holding tightly to the grace that comes from a loving Heavenly Father. She smiled until the end. Diane will be remembered for her resilience, humor, devotion to family, faith, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

Viewing will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1911 N 24th St, Mesa, Arizona. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Mesa Cemetery. A luncheon for close family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m.

Diane will be deeply missed, gratefully remembered, and forever loved.
