William Edward Nesbitt, age 71, resident of Gilbert, AZ, passed away on the evening of September 23rd, 2025 at Banner Heart Hospital.
Retired police Sergeant Nesbitt is a 20-year veteran of the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department. He continued his post-retirement service as a TSA screening manager at Dulles International Airport.
William is survived by his brother, John Nesbitt, sister-in-law Theresa (Fleming) Nesbitt, children Robert Nesbitt and Elizabeth (Nesbitt) Hart, grandchildren Dylan and Jordan Nesbitt and Samantha Hart, daughter-in-law Penny (Mullins) Nesbitt, son-in-law Jeremy Hart, nephew Sean Nesbitt and grand-nephew Patrick Nesbitt.
William’s legacy of setting goals, working hard to achieve them and getting out of life what you want has been passed onto his children and grandchildren.
As he wished, the immediate family, in a to-be-scheduled ceremony, will commit his ashes to the sea at the same position that he committed the ashes of his beloved wife, Vivian.
