About Lyle Edward McDermott

 

Lyle Edward McDermott, 61, passed away on July 1st, 2024 in his home in Gilbert, AZ.

He was born February 5th, 1963 to Dennis and Loretta (Lingenfelter) McDermott in Canton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Loretta, grandparents: Lyle and Darlene (Lempki) Lingenfelter, Carl and Clara (Bucker) McDermott plus several beloved aunts, uncles and a cousin.

Surviving family includes his sisters: Laura McDermott, Clara (McDermott) and brother-in-law Glenn Rogers of Indiana and brother Eddie McDermott of Illinois, five nieces and nephews and one great niece.

Lyle was an auto mechanic in Gilbert, AZ. He worked for 30+ years for Firestone.

He loved tinkering with his cars, camping and watching Nascar.

 

Services for Lyle will be held at graveside on 8/31/2024 at 10:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery: 1022 N Main Street, Lewistown, IL, 61542

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life with food, beverages and memories, after the services at 11:30 AM at Higgins Field: 1203 N Broadway, Lewistown, IL. 61542
