About Tonia Gale Skousen

Tonia “Toni” Gale Skousen passed from this life on the evening of April 12th at the age of 80.  She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  Her husband, Bob Skousen, having preceded her in death in February of 2016.  Toni was born in San Francisco to Carmen & Sue Cavalieri. She grew up in Sonora, California until she graduated High School.  She attended Modesto Jr. College for a brief time before deciding to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  This was where she met the love of her life Robert “Bobby” Skousen.  They married in June 1961.  They started a life and raised their family in Mesa, Arizona where they had many friends and acquaintances.

She was a world traveler, animal lover, art collector, fabulous cook, rosarian, archaeology enthusiast, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a great example and left behind wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish forever.

Left to honor her memory are her children: Dayna Porter (Steve), Robert Jeffrey Skousen (Jan), Lisa Latham (Don), and Bryan Skousen.  She has 12 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on April 22, 2023 at the Citrus Heights Stake Center.  2549 North 32nd Street, Mesa, Arizona.  Family & Friends Visitation is at 9AM and the Funeral Services at 10AM.
